When my favorite thrift store "Unique Thrift" closed and the owners took over this place the hope was that they would import the things they had from that store to this very over priced store. INSTEAD they took what they knew and made this store even worst. Gone are the half price Mondays but there is a half price coupon to be found in local residents getting the coupon in their mailboxes. There is so much non-working junk on the shelves (electronics) that this is more like a flea market than a thrift store. We normally look for lingerie and this store does have a few pieces but on several occasions I have asked why their price is HIGHER than the store tag attached? There is no way used lingerie can cost $15-20 unless it belong to J-Lo or some superstar. Shame that the Salvation Army Thrift store yields better goods and prices and they are even higher than the Cleveland location. The only way you can get to the normal retail price is with a 50% off coupon or with their store punch card. TOO much fuzz about what will soon be seen on garage sales all over the place and that season is just about to start. When the signs go up on local streets I will be paying more attention and looking for good items rather than fish though Value World and arguing for management to at least go with the attached store tag...
Read moreThis location I go to for the sneakers most times they have a hood collection of sneakers. The staff is nice and friendly. The store looks worn and beat down like the items that are being sold there. Pricing for the sneakers have gotten quite ridiculous considering they are used and many times have rips, tears, dirt, heel drag etc. especially when you can go to some of the few resell stores around the city and they are selling used like new shoes for almost the same price or the exact same price, so there is no reason for a thrift store to charge that much for used beat up items. Anytime the sneaker is a jordan no matter the condition they price it high, and unfortunately I have caught a few fakes in the store and it is still priced high and they are obvious fakes and the person who priced them tried to convince me they were worth the price because âthey knew sneakersâ. Overall its an ok place for a thrift store but they need to bring their prices down to thrift store prices, stop over pricing like you sre selling like new...
Read moreMy first impression walking into this location, was how organized the store was. I love value world, and this was my first time at this location. I began to browse the store, but left empty-handed within 10 minutes due to the behavior of the employees. Not only were they yelling at each other from across the store, but the employee announcing that the store will be closing in one hour was so blatantly rude on the intercom, almost to the point of threatening customers to leave on time, that I just left the store because I was so uncomfortable, as did two other shoppers. 2 stars for cleanliness, 0 stars for overall experience. I wonât be returning to this location and wouldnât recommend it to...
