Five Below — Attraction in Northville Charter Township

I cannot believe I am writing this message! The crew at five and below shut the lights off on me , a customer at 8:45 pm. When I went to check out, at 8:50, the employee at the register was not extremely happy to be there. I told him I was not done because I wanted to check out the gadgets by the register. The woman, guessing manager , brown hair who was on shift tonight 10/12 Closing, came up and preceded to treat me, the customer horribly. Standing near me watching ever move I was making. I explained to her that she was making me feel rushed! When I explained to her that I was feeling rushed and pushed out, she said shes calling the cops. The cops! On her innocent customer who was treated with disrespect by employees! She said she was creating a comfortable shopping experience by shutting the lights off. She also said that “clearly you have not worked in customer service” I explained to her that I have been working in customer service since age 14. And I have never shut the lights out on anyone or stood over there shoulder while they shopped because it was nearing closing time and I wanted to go home. On my way out, she said “i hope you have the day you deserve” Un real.. No customer should ever be treated that way. And if she is a manager , she needs to be Spoken to...

I first went here several months ago while this Five Below store was celebrating its grand opening. I was impressed with the large quantity of items and the low, affordable prices starting from $5.00.

The way I view this place now, I am not very impressed. While the quality of the items do not look cheap, I can't say the same for the store's appeal. Located next to Ulta Beauty, both stores were once occupied by a department store by the name of Loehmann's. Unfortunately, the conversion and subsequent remodeling is not the best I've seen; the floors appeared to be cracked in places from construction. However, the rest of the store has large, wall-mounted signs that designate which section it is.

Customer service is not all that great, either. While we (Mother and me) didn't find anything we wanted to buy, we were not greeted coming into and out of the store. In addition, not one employee asked if we wanted any help. I think the next Five Below store I try might be in Livonia's Millennium Park. In any case, I don't think I want to be back here...

This store is great for people on a budget. My most recent visit was to find a replacement 10ft. cord for my phone. Large variety of phone & tablet cases, IPad stands, earbuds, AC adapters with dual USB ports. There's so many choices for accessories you can find what you're looking for. It's also a great place to shop for Christmas on a budget as well. Many toys, remote control cars, games, puzzles, many books. It's worth taking a look. The staff is always pleasant and greets customers which is very nice. I come here for phone accessories now instead of higher...
