I purchased IT brand concealer and powder compact. Salesperson said it was a good line for your skin. I used just a few times since my purchase on Dec 7. Saw the ingredients on a clean site that ranked it 12 out of 100 of clean ingredients. A very toxic reading. Returned both items to store today Dec 19. Only had 11 days and used sparingly after found out toxicity of their products. The sales lady(Kelly) at Northville store was very discourteous at the counter. First she could not find my receipt even though I have their reward program. I had to find my emailed receipt because she told me she only saw products from August. I have purchased multiple items from Ulta past August. Secondly, she opened a small bottle of concealer accusing me I had used most of it. I told her most the product was in the lid and it came that way half empty. She gave me a lecture that she will take the product back, but gave me a very dirty look whole time doing so. I have never had a problem returning products to Ulta. This is very bad customer service. My bill was $87.00 for just 3 items. Ridiculous that they would treat a good customer that way. How could I used all the make up in 11 days since I purchased? Again, I will think twice about Ulta and will go to Sephora instead. I hope the manager of this store reads this review.

Read morePoor experience based on stylist's poor listening, poor technique and poor attention to detail.
Poor listening - Went in for an all over permanent color. My hair is dark in general and I explained wanted the color to blend with my natural color but be slightly lighter so the color can look natural. My stylist first tried to go for a semi - permanent glaze, which I had to talk her out of. Then she went for a color that was too dark "to better match my hair color" - which I should have talked her out of, my hair is way too unnaturally dark now.
Poor technique - 1) she got dye on my face, didn't acknowledge it until I mentioned it, and didn't seek to completely remove it - I had to ask a different employee for a cleansing balm after my appointment to remove the color. 2) she got water in my eyes during shampoo and 3) burned both my scalp and ear with the hair dryer during styling
Poor attention to detail - at the end of the appointment, it was obvious that the color application was patchy. She acknowledged it and gave me a coupon for the next visit if I wanted to fix it. Thank goodness the cashier checked the coupon because it expired within 24 hours.
Nice enough person, but will not be returning to her for services in the...
Read moreI don't know what's going on in the store but I came here to pick up an order and was treated so rudely by some blonde lady that works behind the counter. Then I come in today and it's like nobody works here or the store isn't even open the way they are behaving and everyone is so rude or either spaced out. It's one or the other they either ignore you and are rude or they are so spaced out they don't know where anything is or what's going on. Every time I come in I feel like I'm bothering them and they act as if I'm going to steal something when I'm here for a pickup order or asking about a product that they are supposed to have on their shelves that they don't and it's just this huge ordeal. It's a mess, the store is a complete mess. Get it together or don't work here. That's your options pretty much. The only one that is actually helpful is the one man that works in the store his name is Kevin. But I can see by the way that he is put together from head to toe that he has it together from start to finish. Perhaps he should be managing this store and teaching everyone else how to behave and dress and wear makeup. Some of them look like they just rolled out of bed. Be presentable in a place that you sell makeup...
