I have never been so poorly treated before in my life. There were two ladies standing at the counter. I said excuse me to the both of them because I wanted help with a couple of purses I wanted to purchase. They both looked at me and turned their heads. I them ask an African American young lady to help me and she did. The two white employees stood there looking and began a conversation about how blacks come in their store to steal. They continue to talk loud enough so I could hear them. After finishing with the young lady who help me with two purses. I walked over to the jewerly counter and neither would move. They continue their very loud conversation about how "blacks" come in the store to cast it out and come back later to rob them. I refuse to give these two any satisfaction so I ignored them. They stood with folded arms just starring me down. I am a 72 year old retired social worker. It was New Years day and I knew the both of these women had to be miseable. I walked over to the woman's section and the shorter lady followed me. I almost bumped into her because she was so close. After noticing that they had targeted me, I picked up two more items and went to check out. I bought the two "Designer bags and the couple of other items and left. The store was very nice. But I don't think I will be back. I am not sure if that was the purpose of them treating that way. But I don't pay and beg. In all the years I have shopped at TJ MAXX I have NEVER being treated like that. Those two white employees need further training. I didn't even look around the store because Of how I was treated. This Northville store is awful. If they only want certain people coming in then POST A SIGN. My money spends in any store. Very disappointed in the service I received. No I...

Before I stop by I called store to make sure those clothes I had could returned and get store credits. The answer is ā yesā. I had really terrible return experience this store manager had. He wear an old sweater with crazy hair, when the employee called him out, he was really mad for my returning. I mentioned I checked with TJmaxx returned policy and called store for make sure those clothes would be returned before I stoppby. He throw out tons of reasons to refuse my returning include the purple tags they never carried, some returned needed with security tags. The problem is some clothes I bought at that time there has not use security tags. Very rude attitude and even throw out my returned clothes in front or me. Donāt understand why this kind of people would be a store manager? Do you really know what is customer services? If you donāt want suffered the same experiences as I did, donāt come to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really like to shop at a brick and mortar when I have an opportunity - however today was a poster child for why this store is losing a grip. My Wife and I picked out about $200 worth of merchandise only to get in checkout line to be about 50th in a line that was barely moving..
We don't have that kind of time to spend in line on a Saturday at 2:00 in the afternoon - so we put back our items and walked out.
As we were walking out, we noticed FOUR open checker stations (at 2 on a Saturday). While I realize the workforce situation is tough, this store in particular needs to do a better job in staffings. We are headed home to purchase our stuff online.
Morale of the story - you just lost...
