I guess I should've read the reviews before returning here. About two years ago I used to pop in often and decided to not only shop here but also consign. I received my check for $470 which I thought was pretty great. I just don't have the time to my items on my own so I don't mind sharing the profit for the hard work put forth by the business. I did however, have to come 3 times in order to get the check because "no one there could write one." Unfortunately, my latest couple of visits were not great, the inventory was very low. I had been putting aside some pretty quality items in order to bring back to sell and thought this would be a great time since there was little to buy. I brought back over 50 items. At least 40% was new, never used. Yes there was some cat & jack but alot of it was 100% cotton/bamboo items that is highly sought after right now. I honestly felt sick dropping it off here but did anyway because I just don't have the time. Could you believe they kept 7 items!? I washed, folded, and was very diligent in choosing what would sell vs what would be donated. Even us Northville folk need "play" quality clothing for our children. So target is completely acceptable outside of the Burberry and joules you wanted to keep. I had no idea they were under new ownership but glad I do now. What a bummer. This type of establishment cannot be beneficial to hard working moms if you are only take brand new tagged items or extremely high end items...those are the items that are easy to sell on marketplace with little effort. I think they need to re-evaluate their business model. It's not working. The odd lamp like items and dirty toys they accept just didn't match up with what they rejected. There was also 12 bags at the "no-thank you" door which I have NEVER seen...
Read moreThis little thrift is FILLED with treasures and great prices as well as very kind and patient assistance. We happened to stop in on whim while enjoying the main street walking area and were massively surprised by what we found. After perusing through the kids section right inside the door we were surprised to find a back room with books and games galore. Just when we thought we had seen it all we found the downstairs with mens and womens and shoes and were in absolute HEAVEN!
The only downside was a lack of larger sizes. The selection of sizes leaned more on the smaller side and as a mostly fluffy family its always disappointing not finding anything that fits in a place with so many wonderful things. This certainly did not stop us from finding a few great purses and shoes and other fun things 🥰🥰🥰
Wonderful place to shop - highly recommended. Definitely add to your list of places to stop. The walking in downtown northville is incredible with the main square closed from traffic and prioritizing foot traffic. Such a beautifully progressive move any small town should take note of to level...
Read moreA HOT MESS! The store is a complete disaster. I’ve dropped off six large bags filled with my daughter’s clothes and some of my nice high end clothing and I have gotten two checks for barely anything. They called me about picking up my winter items that didn’t sell and when I got there a week ago they said that there were only 5 items of mine that didn’t sell and they hadn’t pulled them yet. When I spoke to the manager on one call, a female employee twice and even the owner another time about my day and time of when I could make it out there there was a bag for me that had about 20 to 30 items. They have literally lost at least 75 pieces of my clothing and probably more and have no clue where it is?!?! This store should be shut down. They also are pretty out of touch with the popular, in style brands that children wear these days. They had no clue about a few of the brands I brought in that have popular for children for the past 5 to 8 years. I need ALL of my clothing and my children’s or I need to get paid on these items and neither has happened. Stay FAR AWAY...
