Bloomingdale's — Attraction in Norwalk

5 stars all around- hands down!

Honestly, this is the first review that I cannot even say 5* stars are enough to show my gratitude of how our wedding registry experience went, yesterday. People always want “their” event to be catered towards and to be left feeling like their event mattered towards their consultant and this is what the Norwalk location of the wedding registry felt like. My fiancé and I were met by the beautiful and lovely Mrs. Larissa Thomas and my God was she amazing. From the start of this experience she knew our names, upon being introduced towards her from an employee and from there she literally made our day. The word knowledge is not even enough to say of what Larissa has of the registry details and the inclusion of the whole floor level of different pieces to scan! From pieces like L’OBJECT, to Versace, Hudson Park, Matouk, Juliska, Baccarat, and the so many more things we felt comfortable and trusted in her hands. Her level of expertise was truly otherworldly and this is the reason we are so looking forward towards coming back to Bloomingdales to shop.

Larissa also introduced us to Maddie who is the go-to source for all food information and details on how to properly act in the kitchen! Maddie was a gem and we are certainly happy with the All-Clad brand she advised us on and will be looking forward to setting up an event to see how some of those mixing and griddle objects function! Also, thank you to Ms. Yanique for her bonding time with us and Nicole who both certainly provided us with smiles too! (Sorry for any misspelling)

My mom and I were shopping to find a dress for mom to wear to my wedding this summer. In full transparency, we started in Nordstrom and after an extremely disappointing experience there, we decided to try Bloomingdale's. As soon as we entered the store, Margeurite in Women's Fashion engaged with us and immediately jumped to action to help us find something that would make mom feel comfortable and be appropriately dressed for the event. Not only did Margeurite patiently and joyfully help us find a dress, wrap and bag for mom, but she even spent time to take us through different shoe options, and also gave us recommendations on where to go for lunch! She then proceeded to reach out to us to organize a date and time to meet with the store's seamstress for alterations to make sure the dress fit mom perfectly.

I've not had such a positive shopping experience at any retailer in my life, and that says a lot because I do a lot of shopping. Margeurite elevated the entire shopping experience from one that started out as confusing and frustrating in Nordstrom, to a happy, relaxing and fun experience in Bloomingdale's. She epitomizes what a retail sales associate should be at a store like Bloomingdale's, and I cannot wait to go back and visit again to shop with her for more...

Drove just under an hour to try on a Canada Goose jacket. I wanted to try it on before purchasing it online because this store didn’t have the color I wanted it in. As the saleswoman approached me, she seemed to judge the fact that I am visibly disabled by staring at my mobility equipment with a disturbed look on her face. I came to the store because I wanted to make sure I wouldn’t have to send the jacket back and order another one. Once I told the saleswoman that I was going to order the color that wasn’t available in that store from the website, she got incredibly rude and snippy. She told me I “could only try one size on” and that I’d have to “figure out what size I was based on that one try on.” She gave me a nasty look when I asked to look at it in the mirror and snatched the jacket out of my hand when I took it off (in what I would imagine was a similar way to the other reviews here).
