Read moreI lived in Japan for 7 years and I have eaten quite a bit of ramen, all sorts. Not once in Japan did I eat ramen as abysmal as this. The reviews have left me baffled and I am guessing many people have no idea what real or even good ramen tastes like. Allow me to talk you through this place: overpriced I had the shoyu ramen. The broth was horrible. Plain. Tasteless. Bland. the men (or noodles) were poor and reminded me of instant ramen with a stodgy texture. the chasyu was decent but small. Spinach in ramen, baffling. The egg, over cooked. the fella working there had a bit of attitude. ramen served in plastic bowls with plastic cutlery, why? We’ve just been informed that we as society have ignored all scientific warnings about the state of the planet and yet single use plastic is continuously used. Disgraceful. I am guessing that this place is not run by Japanese people as it has a fair few Korean items and even Vietnamese. What bothered me the most was the petty politician jab directed at Japan in the form of a dish called ‘Dokdo ramen’. Do your homework on this and you’ll understand.

Read moreI LOVE ramen, and have had it in dozens of cities. This is not it y’all. The gentleman working was surly & curt which is fine for a mall establishment i’m not expecting 4 star service mid shopping excursion but coupled with the quality It was definitely not worth the price.
I had the miso ramen and pork buns….lets start with the pork: overcooked and more of a shaving than a true slice both in the ramen and the buns. I mean, when I order a bun I almost exclusively get a lovely thick cut of pork. This was the polar opposite. (sorry I forgot to take pics bc frankly I almost never post reviews online and didn’t think I’d need them?)
Anyway the pork was stingy and dry/bland The egg was overcooked The noodles were awkwardly al dente and stodgy. The broth was….whelming?
As a ramen nerd, I definitely don’t recommend this spot whatsoever.
Tack on the standoffish vibe and I’m just sitting here wishing I’d eaten...
