I had the strangest experience at the register. I am not sure but I suspect something may have been wrong with the lady. She was shaking and just seemed off. Anyway she was adding things up and I bought my husband something as a surprise. She said…..Do you know how expensive this is???! She was getting loud. I said no but it is fine because it’s a surprise for my husband. She looked at the tag and said….Oh, I guess it’s not bad. Then she was going so slow and I asked if she’d like me to bag the items and she said yes. Then she looked at me and said (with a what’s wrong with you look ) this doesn’t have a price! I said… okaaaaay. She stood there and stared at me with a strange look so I said….Well, can you call someone for a price check or do you want me to go get it? She said ….I guess I can call someone. So she did and they had the awkward conversation about it over the loud speaker. Lol. Then when it came time for me to pay I put my card in. I signed like it said and before I had a chance to hit the ENTER button she yelled at me and said….. What are you doing? You have to hit that green button! You can do that!….. Read moreWe live in Cleveland but stopped into this store one day and happened across some lampshades we thought would work - purchased them, and took them back home. Unfortunately, they did not fit. Because the store is located 2 hours from us, we were not able to return them as quickly as we would have liked..... when we did, we were past the 60 day cutoff. This was our fault, but unavoidable. The shades were brand new, unused, still in the wrappers, and still being sold on the shelves at the same price. The manager - with purple hair and more piercings than I could count - refused to do anything other than give us store credit..... for a store that is 2 hours away from us. The website does not allow for online orders - probably the only retailer in the U.S. that doesn't. So.... we are out $80 bucks until we want to go shopping 2 hours from home. While I understand the 60-day policy, I also understand making exceptions. There was no reason those shades could not go back into their inventory - BAD FORM. So I thought it was marked down. Once I got home I went to Remove sticker and it had been marked up 10.00. An 89.99 print was now 99.99 print. Upon hanging the picture the hanging bracket broke and pulled out of the styrofoam frame it was screwed Into. Which I didnt see in store because there was paper covering the whole back of picture. I am totally disappointed in 1. The quality of the merchandise. and 2. That you have raised prices on your merchandise. It was cheaply made. At this point we cant return the item because we have put our own hardware on the picture to make it hangable. Which we should never have to do on a $100.00 piece of art work.
