Le Macaron French Pastries — Restaurant in Oak Brook

Interesting flavor eclairs.I was looking for a long time to find something more European kind of taste :) The filling was nice,just little too hard for me and I would really want to see the glaze on top little changed, it would be nice to see some softer options for the glaze/toppings. The eclairs are not too sweet which is really nice and the most important thing-no whipped cream. We stopped by on weekend so the selection wasn’t as big as I would wanted to see but we’ll come back on week days ,hopefully we’ll be able to enjoy some napoleon cake and some other goodies. A suggestion for the owner,change the coffee cups,you need your logo and some color … it will look better on pictures and insta stories ;)

1/13/2023Update: unfortunately no customized packaging,just some cheap round stickers added to dollar tree bags 🫣 I suggest you guys to check how other businesses are doing,for example “A la folie” ,and btw your products are no cheaper than theirs but look at the quality,look at those perfect macarons . So sad when you have potential and you’re just not doing enough! Good luck Hopefully next time I’ll stop by you’ll have more than 4 “tired” eclairs for sale and better looking macarons. With lost passion,bankruptcy is going to knock soon...

I think this spot’s been open for a few weeks at most. The renovation was well done and welcoming even from the street so I swung in to try it-- I got a cup of black drip coffee and a macaron to go. The coffee was smooth, flavorful and drinkable. I didn’t eat the macaron until I got home (pistachio flavor) and honest to god when I took a bite I had to stop everything I was doing and just marvel at the thing. It was perfect. Woah. Texture and flavor were flawless. They have a lot of flavors of macaron as well as other things like croissants and cakes, beautiful presentation, and several small tables within the store. It’s clean and well-lighted. Service was attentive and personable- the owner was there (sweet French guy) and helped me out. This is on my route and it might be my new stop! I am very disappointed with these macarons. I ordered from this store yesterday through Uber Eats. The macarons were not fresh and didn't taste good. When I opened the package, I saw that the macarons were dry and didn't have the softness that good macarons should have. Some of them were even wet inside, like they were frozen and thawed quickly.

I would advise others to spend their money elsewhere if they are looking for truly delicious macarons. I am surprised by the numerous positive reviews this place has received, as it seems they may have been written by individuals who have not had the opportunity to try genuinely exceptional macarons.
