My recent experience at Office Depot was unsettling. I placed a print and copy order that was processed the same day, but I wasn’t able to pick it up immediately. Later that week, I called the store to confirm the order was still available, since I was concerned it might have been discarded after a few days. The associate I spoke with was condescending. When I asked whether the order was still there, she replied, 'What do you want me to tell you about your items?' I explained that I just wanted to confirm the order was still available. She eventually told me that printed items are kept for a month, so I thanked her and ended the call.

When I arrived at the store, my items were not available at the self-service pickup kiosk where they are typically placed. I went to the counter and asked the associate, who handed me the items with a smirk—making it clear she was the same person I had spoken to on the phone. What made the situation more frustrating was that she had not mentioned over the phone that the order would be kept behind the counter instead of at the kiosk. One of the worst office depot stores ever period I Uploaded a file to have 1000 black & white prints with 2 cuts, a very simple job, and the website stated that it would be ready at 5:30. I arrived at 6pm Only to be told that it wasn't ready and won't be ready till the next day, which is useless to me. The girl behind the printing copy center said they had trouble with my order, which was a very simple order and that they were backed up anyway, and they have another order that wouldn't be ready till tomorrow, that was supposed to be ready today. She had a defensive attitude right from the get. Go and really should not be interfacing with the public. Hey she was very condescending without any hint of empathy towards the situation that she caused. They were so busy that when I went next door to another store and came back out. The 2 printing office people. We're calmly smoking outside and disparaging customers to each other. Staples is right across the street and has always operated very professionally. I walked into Office Depot today and was greeted by the smiling face of Kenneth R..Neither one of us knew it, but Kenneth was about to save my day! I had worked all day and drove almost and hour to pick up a salon chair from a member of Facebook marketplace who stood me up. I absolutely needed a chair today and being a single woman I needed one that was put together. I told Kenneth my dilemma and he was kind enough to even test the chairs for me to make sure they were high enough. However it seemed like everything had come to a roadblock as far as me leaving the store with one put together right then. Well with a smile still on his face Kenneth said let me try to get one put together for you in-between customers. I don't think I mentioned Kenneth have a cast on his broken wrist! He put it together with ease, rang me up and put it in my SUV! I don't think he really realized what a good deed he actually did.
