Arigato gozaimasu!!! Oishii desu yo!!! Went for take out tonight for dinner. Was so excited to pass by yesterday and see that they had finally opened for business but they’re closed on Monday so I was bummed. Lol. I had to make the 45 min trip to go tonight and pick some up. Very sleek and modern inside. Wish I could’ve experienced it fresh but such are the times we are in. Regardless, they did a good job. I got two orders of both the Gyoza and the fried chicken, Tori no Kaarage! Was made of chicken thigh I believe but didn’t have any skin, but that didn’t stop me from enjoying it. Loved that it was flavorful and I’m sure if it was fresh rather than eaten an hour after pick up, it would’ve been crispy. Had a dipping sauce which I didn’t know what it was, but also tasty. The Gyoza was also very tasty and the sauce had a slight sweetness which I wasn’t quite expecting but was still very, very good. Now onto the Ramen. I got the Tonkatsu ramen which should’ve been deep fried and maybe be on the menu as Chashu ramen, but it was still very good. Because of not being fresh, the noodles were all stuck together but again, I can’t hold that against them. I’m just so happy that there is a great place for a great ramen for a great price. Very happy with my trip. I’m sure you all will see me again and again. Just so glad you’re finally opened. I would work on a great soy sauce based broth for those that might want more traditional and or might not like miso, but I’ll definitely be back. Wish you were closer to me. Maybe I need to move closer. Lol. Everything was fresh...
Read moreI'm saying this as someone who frequents Japanese restaurants on a regular basis. This has been the worst Ramen I have ever had, by far. Period. Very disappointing experience. I don't know how this restaurant is still in business. In fact, my mother suspects the reviews on here are bought..
Terribly over-priced (20 dollars for a plastic bowl of soup that you have to order at the cash register and small serving of gyoza), broth has very little taste, ramen noodles taste like the ones you get from walmart for $1. The noodles are definitely low quality and not authentic. Like others have mentioned the meat/seafood tastes like it was frozen, not fresh. Overall I had very few veggies in my ramen. The little corn we had in the soup was frozen. My mom said the chicken in our ramen had freezer burn. The gyoza tasted like it was reheated/old. Floors were sticky in the whole restaurant. I spotted an instant pot in the kitchen (what's that all about?).
Apart from the food being a disaster, I was also disappointed about the waste generated by this restaurant. It is 2021!!! Please do not serve me ramen in a plastic bowl - NEVER, and especially not at a price of 12 dollars per bowl. Provide customers with ramen spoons, for the love of Christ. Provide actual silverware. Jesus... this is not a food truck.
One star for the owner who...
Read moreComing from Japan, that is the explanation here. I’m sure it would be 5* if I didn’t know any better. There are also Ramen houses that make more authentic dishes as well. Although the locals have a much different palette than the original dishes of Japan I’m sure. Firstly, they were out of some items (rice for instance) so the hibachi was eliminated and that is what we all originally went there for. Surprise, surprise. Well we ended up with our Plan B dishes and those are what I have to rate, unfortunately.
Secondly, the food was good, cooked fresh and prepared as requested. That was fine, portion was excellent and they were out of some sauce my daughter wanted and the drink they couldn’t also make because they were out of something.
Lastly, they did have a clean restaurant with bathrooms that were adequately supplied with paper products.
I would go back, in hopes they will be prepared with supplies because it was a pleasant experience and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was good although less authentic than I’d like, but I’m in America now, so beggars can’t be choosers my mom says. So it will have to do.
I recommend you...
