UPDATED PLEASE READ ALL!
Good day,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your Checkers restaurant on multiple occasions. Specifically, the night staff, who work from 9 PM until closing, have been consistently rude and unprofessional.
On one occasion, an employee threatened to withhold my food because I was in the "wrong" line. On another occasion, an employee slammed the window in my face. Additionally, the wait times for food are excessively long, and the staff make no effort to communicate with customers.
Furthermore, the restaurant turns off the lights every night, which gives the impression that it is closed. This practice is misleading and inconvenient for customers.
I believe that Checkers should reconsider its decision to stay open if its staff are unwilling or unable to provide adequate customer service. I have had multiple negative experiences with the staff at this location, and I am concerned that other customers may have similar experiences.
Below is a photo of the young lady who slammed the window in my face and threatened to withhold food. The photo taken below was at 12:34 AM on a Thursday.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
The review above was written on a separate day which was 4/25
Below is another report of a different incident which occurred on 4/28 at 11:09PM-11:30PM.
This Checkers establishment has consistently underperformed in terms of service quality, prompting me to submit multiple complaints. Additionally, I have reported instances where the lights were turned off despite the store being open, potentially misleading customers into believing it is closed for business. Today, I patiently waited for 10 minutes without receiving any acknowledgement or communication from the staff. As a delivery driver, this situation is quite concerning and affects my ability to provide efficient service. Furthermore, I was directed by the manager to move to the back of the line, allowing other delivery drivers who arrived after me to receive their orders first. It is disheartening to be engaged in an argument and informed that our presence was not even acknowledged. As Dashers, we patiently wait for extended periods, often reaching 30 minutes each night or more. Regrettably, we find ourselves repeatedly confronted by the same manager, leading to further disputes. I previously reported an issue regarding this manager withholding my food. It appears that the Checkers is choosing to disregard this matter and not take any action to address the situation. Additionally, I have noticed that the building lights remain on every night this manager is not present, which concerns me on how many customers are being misled into believing this establishment is closed. Upon requesting the name of the manager, my inquiry was unfortunately denied. Further inquiries resulted in a warning that the police would be called and I would be considered trespassing. This response was given simply because I voiced my concerns and asked for the name of a company representative. It is concerning that Checkers would allow such behavior and trespass a person for expressing their concerns and requesting the name of a representative. It is disappointing that the General Manager of this restaurant is choosing to permit this situation to persist. In this situation, I must commend Chris for maintaining a professional demeanor and assuring us that he would deliver the food once it was ready. By taking ownership of the situation, Chris demonstrated a commendable level of responsibility. However, I am compelled to rate Checkers with a single star due to this incident, and I sincerely hope that such behavior will be eliminated in the future.
This review involves the same exact rep. The photo gathered is from another person who wrote a bad review about her as well, which you can find below mine! The photos of the establishment are taken on separate occasions, both time she was working as...
Read moreIf I could give this place No stars I would. I’ve been in the service industry for over a decade and I’ve always been taught that we keep serving customers until closing time and THEN we start shutting things down. But that’s not what happened tonight. I went to order DoorDash and ordered well before the time alert of 2:20AM of last call orders since they close at 3AM. (I’m a work from home overnight shift worker so I can’t leave if I want food and I didn’t have the groceries to make myself dinner) So, the dasher arrived at the location almost 20 mins before they close only to be told that the order had not been made and they wouldn’t make it for him because they were closed. TWENTY MINUTES!!! Now DoorDash was very kind, gave me a refund and a credit to my account for the inconvenience. But unfortunately because of Checkers employees deciding not to do their jobs and the time I had wasted waiting for an order that was never going to come, I ran out the clock of time that I could order from any of the other 24hr or late night establishments in the area and thus all I got to have for dinner was a granola bar because it was grocery day and because we had 3 call outs, I had to work a double and didn’t get to go shopping. So thanks Checkers for causing me to go hungry on the tail end of a 12 hour shift just because your employees are lazy and don’t want to stick to the time frames your company set with their delivery services. I also feel so bad for the DoorDash driver who wasted his time going to pick up an order only for it to be canceled so obviously he wasn’t getting...
Read moreWe hadn’t eaten at a Checkers in many years. My wife and I were excited to eat it again because of that, and my kids were wanting food as well. When we walked up to the windows, which were not marked which window was order and which was pick up, there was an elderly woman waiting to order . She was confused as to which window to use also. Finally, after about 5 minutes, a worker came to a window to take orders. The older woman made her order and then we proceeded to make our order. I kid you not, it seemed like everything we tried to order, they were out of either that item or something that goes on/with an item. We finally got our order in and then the wait began. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. In that 15 minute wait, I watched a man stand at a window to make an order for about 5 minutes and after the workers didn’t acknowledge that he was at the window, he left. We finally got our food and drinks. My wife’s and I’s chicken strips were dark in color, not quite burnt, but looking close, and they were dry. The fries were as good as I remembered but they were really greasy. We ate or food and left. About 2 hours later, my wife, daughter and I all felt nauseous and had upset stomachs. We can’t say for sure but the only thing we can link it back to was Checkers. Needless to say, we were sad that the nostalgia wasn’t met and we will probably not eat at a Checkers any time soon or...
