AVOID THIS PLACE!
My wife and I wanted to treat our kids to cold stone, and they were very excited to watch it being made, and of course it's ice cream, who doesn't love a sweet treat. We came in and waited no problem. There wasn't a line when we got there. The group in front of us was finishing up. There were 2 women who came in after us and stood behind us. We were right up in front of the plexy glass by the ice cream flavors. An associate finished making an ice cream, walked past us (behind the counter) and proceeded to lean on the counter where there was an opening and asked the two women behind us what they wanted and began taking their order!!!! My kids looked at us and didn't understand why we had been waiting patiently and just got skipped. I could not believe what just encountered and became absolutely enraged. We decided to leave and go to publix for dessert. I'm not going to give any establishment my money when I'm treated like I dont matter. I have zero intentions on returning to this location. I will also be telling everyone to avoid this place. I felt discriminated against and I felt totally disrespected. You don't treat customers like that. There was absolutely NO reason to skip us like that. You take customers orders in the order they come in. What a disgrace...
Read moreWe got a simple vanilla ice cream with sprinkles, a kids portion. Everything was going fine, The service was minimal and average. A kids cup of ice cream cost almost 8 dollars which is beside the point. My daughter started eating and she found a curly black hair in her ice cream. I went up to the girl on the cash register and showed her the hair. She asked me which person served us and I named the guy that has dreadlocks that are not in a hairnet, in addition, they are down to his lips almost so they are very long. Again no hairnet she offered me no solution, no refund, and did not even offer to remake the ice cream. She literally giggled and had a smirk and said “oh yeah him OK I’m sorry .” Disgusted is an understatement. We left right when we got done talking to the cashier. I suppose I should’ve asked for a manager, but I feel like the employee should have had some common sense to at least remake the ice cream. Read moreWe come to the Ocala location at least twice a week and today's visit was just horrible. The staff today were not all wearing gloves and seemed very uncoordinated, like it was their first day on the job. Needless to say they fixed our ice creams (we bought 4 gotta have it's) and one of the bowls the wait person was having trouble with the top, so one of the other employees came to help, but her solution was to cut the entire top of the ice cream off (making it more like a medium instead of a gotta have it) and threw it in the trash, but I was still charged as a gotta have it. This was unnecessary and unprofessional. I think next time I want ice cream, I'll have to drive way up 200 and buy it from Scoops. Very bad business practices from...
