Fort Maurepas City Park is the central location of Front Beach in Ocean Springs. It is directly facing the pier in the midpoint of the beach. The surrounding scenery is astounding, showcasing beautiful sunrises and sunsets on the daily. The water reflects the rays encompassing the area with a sense of serenity. In addition to the playground, Fort Maurepas has benches, a stage, electrical outlets, historical knowledge, and a full parking lot. It is adjacent Washington Avenue which connects Front Beach to Downtown Ocean Springs, Highway 90 (Bienville Blvd.), and St. Martin. This is the place to go for peace, parties, and photo-ready scenery. Of course it lies in the heart of Ocean Springs main beach, Front Beach. Welcome to...

As much as I'd like to rate this place higher, I had some serious trouble during my 4 night stay. The benches aren't that comfortable to sleep on, nor are the toilets if you want more seclusion. There's also no avoiding the giggles and shouts of children quite early if you intend to sleep in. Room service was surprisingly good and the receptionist at the twisty slide was very friendly so the staffing seems nice at least. No food can be purchased on site but there's a pier within 300ft if you feel like getting your hands dirty. It's a nice place with good staff but getting adequate rest is difficult and food was a little...

A safe park in Ocean Springs to take the little ones year round. They can play in the sprinkler during the summer. They can play on the playground all year long. While the spot the kids can play on is not that big, our little ones seem to enjoy it every time we take them there. The pavilion is usually clean as are the adjacent areas and there's no trash or debris lying around that would make one hesitant to bring their children there. I'd venture to say with all the money Ocean Springs has, they should invest in a bigger and more interactive playground as it is a popular place to take children to play and run off some of...

It was wonderful to be back in Ocean Springs my home for 17yrs . It’s just as beautiful as before with so much more opportunities. I’m so happy I was able to talk the hubbie into stopping at the Park Beach . The temperatures were a little nippy but the Atmosphere and sitings & scenery were just beautiful . It was good to be able to show my husband up close the tree carvings -they are Immaculate. He would always compliment as we ride the beach on 90 how cool and different the tree carvings were along the median . The park is always so clean and well kept. I took several pics up close from different angels.

Very nice park with a covered pavilion, bathrooms, playset for kids, grassy area with a stage, and a splash and play area. There is a good amount of parking on the left hand side of the park of you are facing the pavilion with your back to the water. The beach is nice. There are several volleyball nets, and the sand is raked often. Additionally, there are several fire pits for BBQs and other events. There are also several fishing piers with covered areas and benches. The whole area is dog friendly and there are even stations with poop bags and special trash cans.

We live right near this park and we love it. It's right on the beach and has a wonderful newly renovated playground, covered picnic area, nice grassy area to sit if you want to have a picnic or something. It also has restrooms. There is a little bitty fountain that kids can play in I wouldn't call it a Splash Pad but some people do. I think it's a little too small to be called a splash pad. But it's nice if the kids get hot playing on the playground they can go play in the little fountain. Very nice playground with really neat equipment
