The interaction we had with this business was in fact not family friendly. They started berating a child for peacefully sitting and reading a $18 book. While she was quietly sitting supervised in a chair looking through an illustrated book about Ocean Springs while her mother shopped through the store with plans to purchase a set of 4 chargers and some additional decor items. They informed the child that they understood that she would not be buying the book but someone else would. Extremely condescending. And stated the “You need to teach your child some matters.” A child should never be treated in that manner. Unfortunately some people never realize how they were wrong/rude/disrespectful. The child did not attempt to or engage in any behavior that could damage or mark any merchandise

We came to Biloxi over New Years, and decided to run to Ocean Springs. We checked every shop that was open. Ocean Springs Mercantile was my absolute favorite. I was able to purchase these ornaments for my primitive wire tree. I have put all my Christmas decorations away, but just can’t put these in storage yet. I love how they look on my tree. The girls went above and beyond to help me find great colors. Such a variety! If you have a small tree you really need to think about these ornaments. We have plans to come back next year. She loves outdoorsy decor, bird feeders, and anything unique. Susan, the owner, went above and beyond to help me find the perfect gifts.
