Knuckleheads — Restaurant in Ocean Springs

Update** While travelling through this area again, we made sure to stop in and have another meal. There were ten of us. My daughter and I both ordered the royal red appetizer for $8. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries. However, the waitress brought my daughter out the $24 meal, and rather than make her return it to the kitchen to be trashed, I just said, "that's ok. I'll take, but please give me sweet potato fries in place of the potatoes." They still charged me for the sweet potato fries even after I took the $14 meal for her error! When, I explained what happened to the manager, they refused to take the $4 fries off. This isn't about $4! It's about the $24 + $4 charge when I originally would've/should've paid for a total of $12. I will never return nor will I tell others to eat there as I have so often done over the past two years. How sad that they are willing to lose business and tarnish their reputation over $4 when I was trying to help the waitress out with her own error! So disgusted that I had to come update my review to let others know that this could also happen to them!

On this visit, my sweet hubby got the Candied Jalapeño Burger with sweet potato fries. He really enjoyed the burger and wanted to enjoy the fries, but he only ate a few of them. While they were really yummy tasting and would still recommend them, we are both doing without sugar, and he does not like cinnamon. Unfortunately, the fries were covered really well in cinnamon & and sugar, and they were wasted. My hubby did wish he had known that when he decided to order because he would have just ordered regular fries. (I looked on their menu and it does not say that, but it would be helpful if it did or if they asked the wait staff to mention it as people order.) But again, we would still recommend them. I ordered the Royal Reds with corn and potatoes. The shrimp and all did not disappoint! The corn was very spicy and deliciously sweet. The potatoes had a great spicy flavor. For an appetizer, we got the Shrimp and Sausage dip with fried Wontons and Spicy Peachy Sauce. Talk about delectable!! If you like shrimp and Conecuh sausage, then you will enjoy this appetizer. This used to be be one of my favorite places but the last few times I’ve been there they are always out of food. I went for Thursday Steak Night and got there at 6:30 and they were out of Steaks. The visit before that I tried to order a Large Salad and they were out of Salad. The visit before that I tried to order a burger and they were out of those also. I spoke to the management and it didn’t seem to go anywhere he seemed irritated that I said anything and made a lot of excuses instead. This review isn’t due to the food being bad it’s actually really good when they have it available. It’s a 30min drive to visit Knuckleheads for our family and it always seems to be an issue when we get there.
