My sister went into the store today to exchange a gift I gave her for her bday, because she received the item twice. I told her to go into the store and simply provide them with my email to find the receipt.
the associate was able to find the receipt and informed her that she couldn’t give her store credit because after pay was used to complete the purchase and could only refund the after pay account. Before My sister could tell the associate she would prefer to keep the item if that was the case, she completed the return and credited the after pay account. (BTW i have received store credit at other ULTAs even though the original transaction was after pay) Obviously, this was their mistake and she asked if she could speak to the manager. instead of apologizing for the error, the manager said their was nothing they could do and offered the customer service number. If there is nothing they could do at the store… what is customer service going to do?
I understand that at this point there is nothing ulta can do in regards to todays transaction, however I think it is important that the store manager and employees have an understanding of the companies policies and procedures, and acknowledging their individual errors.
It is really unfortunate that my sister had to deal with this headache on the little time she has for herself. I will send her the cash, but will suggest she go to sophora or Macy’s.
I have included the information I found in regards to the return policy. “ Afterpay returns follow our standard return policy.” “ Products returned to stores that were purchased using an online payment service (i.e., PayPal, PayPal Credit) will be refunded to your preferred credit card or issued as a store...
Read moreI waited to leave this review to see if I would change how I feel about my haircut. I didn't. It has been a year since my haircut and still, still, still every time I look in the mirror, I HATE my hair! I do not feel beautiful at all. And it has been this way for over a year now. That's 365 days of looking in the mirror and wanting to cry every time I look at myself - not to mention the comments, "Girl, what did they do to your hair?", "Oh no! Your hair!", "Why did they cut your hair like that?" - And the list goes on and on. I use to go to Ulta on the regular for my haircut off and on and have for years - not anymore. They have lost me as a customer for life. And I hate that because I use to brag about the lady who cut my hair. Not only did she not give me what I asked for, last time I went, but she left it such a butchered mess that when I've gone to other places to see if they can fix it, all they tell me is to try to grow it out - which is what I've been trying to do FOR A YEAR! A years worth of growth and it's still not where it needs to be. Maybe the employees need to be concentrating on fixing hair rather than showing the customers inappropriate and embarrassing videos that shouldn't be shown at work, especially to the customer- it embarrassed me to death! I'm not going to give you the lady's name because everyone deserves their job but management needs to be more vigilant of their employees. I had been a loyal customer off and on for years, I didn't deserve what butcher job y'all did to me or the sadness it has brought me every time I look at myself in the mirror - I have been nothing but kind to you. I didnt deserve this! Sadly, you have lost me as a...
Read moreI’ve been going to the Oceanside Ulta since it opened because I live down the street. I’ve only had a handful of good experiences there. Most of the time I don’t get approached even though it’s clear as day that I need assistance with something. The staff on the floor are usually busy restocking or they just don’t approach you, and the staff at the salon just stare at you or give you dirty looks. I would say the staff at the check out are usually more pleasant, although they always fail to tell you if you have points and almost always forget to put your “free gift,” if eligible in your bag. I wouldn’t usually write a review but I went to Ulta yesterday and spent 20 min in the NARS sections trying to find a concealer that matched me. I literally stood there and tried on 5 different shades and even took a mirror and checked the product in different lighting. I stared directly at a couple of girls and they turned their heads rather quickly and went back to organizing makeup. Hopefully I picked the correct shade. At check out, the girl gave me a sample of Becca Velvet Blurring Primer only to come home and realize the sample is empty. I kept pumping the sample and nothing was coming out so I opened it and there was nothing in it, haha! I realize this isn’t Ulta’s fault but it just made my last experience even worse. Anyways, I’ll probably still go back but only because it’s...
