Where to begin? My wife and I had never been to this theater before but happened to be in the area with a couple hours of free time so we decided to watch a movie. The front of the theater is lined with windows formerly used for ticket offices. Now, bolted to the front of those disused ticket windows are a bank of automated kiosks for guests to buy tickets. We chose one and attempted a purchase. After running our card, the machine froze and would not dispense our tickets. After a wait of some five minutes, I went to find an employee to help us while my wife waited at the kiosk. Inside the theater sat a single young man surrounded by what seemed to be a control system of some sort. I told him what had happened. The young man proceeded to inform me in an impatient manner that the card had not been charged and I needed to, "try again." I returned to my wife. In the intervening time, she had pulled up our bank account on her phone and when I told her what the young man said, she showed me that the money had already been debited from our account. I returned to the young man and showed him that we had indeed been charged for the tickets. The young man said, "Well, you can just go in. You don't need a ticket." Confused, we walked passed the ticket taker and into the lobby of the multiplex. We soon learned that in a theater with 24 auditoriums it is nearly impossible to find the correct show if you do not have a ticket. After about 10 minutes of searching we found a different young man sweeping. After explaining the ordeal he directed us two hallways up, left and third auditorium on the left. Before we left, he asked if we needed to speak to the manager. I said yes but that we were already late for the show. He said that "Emily" would still be there when we got out of the movie. Following the movie, which was fine, we asked the young man who was sweeping for Emily, the manager. Emily walked up to us and stated that she had already been informed all about what had happened and that her employee was very well trained and had handled the situation properly. I said that we had searched for 10 minutes for our show before finding the young man who was sweeping and may have been late for the show if we hadn't found him. She said that the first young man had given us directions and we shouldn't have had any problem. I told the young woman (all employees in the theater appeared to be under 25) that we were not even told what the auditorium number was and asked why we would stop the second young man for directions if the first "very well trained" young man had acted properly. Emily, the manager, simply replied that she didn't like her employees being, "attacked." I was flabbergasted. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Nobody 'attacked' any of your employees." My wife had heard enough. "Okay, what is your name?" she asked. "Emily," she replied. "Last name?" my wife asked. "I don't have to give you my last name," she said, with her hands on her hips, "and if you want to call in on me that's fine." We left the theater confused and incredulous. We had never been treated with such disrespect and unprofessionalism before in a movie theater. I waited three or four days before calling the AMC corporate office to let the emotion of the event subside. A professional woman listened and took notes of my story and said that someone would review the report and contact me in a day or two. It has been more than a week with no response from...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have attended this theater multiple times in the past four years. This is the ultimate theater to go to if you want to catch a more limited, independent film. AMC Quail Springs usually always gets the smaller films, as well as the big blockbuster IMAX-type films too. Their IMAX auditorium is very big and accommodates over 400 people, plus the picture quality and sound is amazing. They even recently added a new Dolby Cinema auditorium with reclining seats. My only complaint is that while the chairs in the Dolby auditorium recline, they don't do a full recline like the seats at AMC Penn Square 10. The seats in the Dolby auditorium do a half-recline and is uncomfortable if you cannot find the right setting. If you are not interested in reclining, then the seats are wonderful, very plush and cool.
One of my only complaints is the nachos. AMC must have recently switched the supplier of their nacho cheese, because now, the nacho cheese is awful. I used to order their nacho cheese and use it as a dip for one of their gourmet pretzels, but now, I do not, because the cheese is unbearably awful (but, it's not just this particular AMC, all AMCs in this area have switched to this new cheese).
One of the other issues that I notice is in a couple of auditoriums. One in particular, Auditorium #13, is in desperate need of an upgrade to the sound system. At times, voices and/or sound effects will come out of one speaker on the right side of the theater, but will be completely silent out of the speaker on the left side. It is a little distracting if you're sitting on the left side of the theater and cannot hear something, because it's only discernible on the right speaker. Other than that, AMC Quail Springs 24 is a terrific theater to go to catch more limited releases and/or to see something in IMAX or the new Dolby...

My boyfriend and I stopped by to see if Demon Slayer was playing. We found a showing at 1:15pm and it was 1:13pm. We purchased the tickets at a kiosk and were immediately checked in and given directions to our theater number. We stopped by concessions for popcorn, candy (which I grabbed in line on the way to the register, easy, I liked the access) and drinks. I also ordered the Mac and cheese bites... Hence the missing star. Almost there..
I liked that the drink machines had a lot of options. It was one of those touch screens and there were at least three machines. I assume the butter for the popcorn worked well. When my boyfriend met me at the pick up area (......10 minutes later..) the bucket was well coated šæ
I wish I was exaggerating when I say that we stood in pick up for over 15 minutes before my boyfriend finally had enough and approached the girl that rang us up. She went to see what the problem was and was met with a grumpy, cursing, teenage boy. Apparently one of the fryers was out of commission. I work in food. I know it can be super frustrating when you have customers waiting and food can't cook fast enough. But you gotta keep your cool, man. That was a lot. I felt like he was the movie and it was full drama. I'd have rather been told at the register that a fryer was down and that there would be a wait time. I'd have not paid the $8.50 for the Mac and cheese bites, I would not have waited over 15 minutes, and I wouldn't have missed the previews (my favorite freaking part). My boyfriend ended up having to go back to get the bites, which were lukewarm and not very good. I will definitely skip the bites next time. Honestly, I'll probably just go to tinseltown. We just happened to plan on going to Round 1, and this...
