Attended the screening of Inside Out 2 with my children and their father. The tickets were purchased online at an exorbitant price, approximately $80 to $90 for two adults and two children. Upon entering the theater, there was significant disorganization, with a large crowd congregating at the doors. The individual validating tickets appeared overwhelmed and inadvertently neglected to provide 3D glasses to those requiring them. Proceeding towards the concession area...
There was a significant crowd, causing congestion and discomfort. The floor was littered with trash, and the lines were extremely long, resulting in an extended wait time. We waited in line for approximately 45 minutes to an hour, only to be redirected to another line by the cashier because we had unknowingly joined the incorrect queue.
I inquired if there was a possibility of waiving the fee on this occasion, as there was no signage indicating the requirement for club membership. The staff member kindly consulted with her supervisor, who was preparing popcorn, but unfortunately, the request was denied. My children had been patiently waiting to receive a bag of candy, only to have it taken away because we were not club members. Consequently, we left for the movie without popcorn or drinks and missed the first five minutes of the film.
The seating conditions were unsatisfactory due to the age of the fabric, which had a waxy and sticky texture and emitted an unpleasant odor. This resulted in discomfort for the duration of the movie. Additionally, my children's father missed approximately half of the movie while retrieving popcorn, soda, and hotdogs. The popcorn was of extremely poor quality, arguably the worst I have ever tasted, with a flavor inferior to store-bought popcorn. The Coca-Cola tasted diluted and had a chlorine-like aftertaste. The hotdogs were of a lower standard compared to those available at 7-Eleven, and to make matters worse, they had run out of ketchup.
I would like to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your movie theater. As a first-time customer, I was disappointed by the overall quality of service and the high prices charged for tickets, food, and drinks. Despite being located in a popular shopping area, it seems that the revenue generated is not being reinvested in the theater's operations, as evidenced by the lack of adequate staffing and the need for better management. I hope that these issues can be addressed to improve the customer experience in the future.
. Individuals who have taken the time to read my post should reconsider their decision to visit this establishment. In comparison, my recent experience at Century Theater, which occurred two weeks prior to my visit here, was significantly more satisfactory and offered excellent value for the cost. Read moreI came with my mother 10 minutes a head of time on a busy day. The theaters concessions stand is extremely poorly managed. There is only the main concession that is set up front and center when you walk in towards the back, with neither concession stand on either sides (left and right) of the theater set up for operation that are closed down . On a high Volume day there is no reason (including staffing, when AMC 30 knows when high volume days are [lots of customers coming in to see movies, always during the holidays time, that is peak season]) for someone to have to wait 15 minutes to order there popcorn and drinks while people in the back are not moving fast fulfilling orders. There is no reason that adequate staffing wasn’t accounted for to have the side concessions stocked, open and running at capacity. To be clear, I arrived (with my plus 1) at 5:35pm on 12/26/19, Jumanji: The Next Level start time was 5:45pm; there are 15 minutes of previews that I don’t mind missing bringing the time to 6pm (we finally got to order Popcorn, candy and drinks); then waited an additional 15 minutes until the order was fulfilled bringing the time to 6:15pm; we missed the beginning of the movie. I brought this to Perra (the manager on duties attention) and the gentleman working behind the concession stands attention, all I received was shoulder shrugs from both and the manager telling me that they do staff adequately, that it is just busy; no apology for the long wait, no customer service recovery, only this is the way that it is. I am extremely disappointed and don’t appreciate when adequate customer service and experience are not provided and are not priority. Having two super huge lines for the whole theater to wait in like cattle, is extremely rude, disconcerting and devaluing. No one should need to arrive 40-60 minutes extra, to not only look for parking but to wait in a concession line for 15 minutes just to put in an order to then wait another 10-15 minutes for that to be fulfilled, to be late to my movie; it’s extremely rude and not acceptable! If this is the standard of value/appreciation you show to your consumers doing business at one/all of your locations, then I am NOT coming back and will tell people to avoid your location. I will spend the extra money to go to The Lot in Newport Beach or the same amount of money and go to Century Theater at Bella Tera on Beach Blvd or Edwards Metro Pointe at South Coast or Regal Big 6 in Newport Beach, basically any theater other then AMC 30 in Orange. Read moreI enjoy and love coming to this amc. It's inviting as soon as you walk in the doors.. From pictures and qoutes on the walls from way back in the days till now, it's really cool and fun to look at. There is a lot to see along the walls as you walk down the carpet isles to your movie theater. I love that they have displays to take take pictures with your kids, selfies, or with your friends and family. I like that they have a bar set up in the center of the theater with a countertop with the bar chairs to enjoy your drink and talk there if you like before the movie. I really like at the concession stand they have an amc stubs members line to get you taken care of right away, I'm an amc stubs member, and when I go through that line my service is always friendly and fast. My customer service over all here has been great, and I am very happy with that. My overall experiences here have been great with no complaints. My customer service is also great, and my concession stand order is always ready when I arrive. This, for me, is a 5 out of 5. But recently, I've had some issues with the amc app with purchasing my tickets, and it's happened to me twice very recently. I've never had issues before making my purchase through the amc app, everything was smooth and easy untill recently when I've tried my purchase my tickets along with my concession stand order the payment process says there is an error but shows in my bank account that I've been charged multiple times. So this has been an inconvenience for me because I loved using the app to purchase my tickets in the palm of my hand in advance and have everything ready to go when I arrive. So, since this has happened the last couple of time it's been an inconvenience to me because I would have to go and speak with the manager on duty and explain the whole story on what happen and I hate to sound like I'm complaining when I've been a happy customer there. I've been thankful enough to have had a great experience the first time it happened because the manager on duty listened and understood me and helped me out, and everything worked out. The second time it happened recently, I spoke to Robert, the manager on duty. He was super great he went above and beyond to help take care of me and that I was accommodated and happy.
