Updated: If you need your acrylics removed, don’t come here. I loved the set of acrylics they had done for me, but when I came to get them removed, they just ripped the acrylics off and expected me to pay $15 for it. I could have ripped off the acrylics myself for free. This is extremely harmful to the nail underneath, and as a cosmetologist, I had to give a bad review.
After having received a reply from the owner, I would like to clarify that I did ask to have my nails soaked and they responded saying that there are other ways to remove the acrylics. The way taught to remove acrylics at beauty schools is to soak, not to rip the acrylics off. Despite me asking to have my nails soaked, they continued before I could ask for them to completely stop the service. My nails are extremely thin and painful two weeks after this experience, and now I am being accused of providing an undeserving review. I think it is extremely disrespectful to respond to a customer in such a way after a very kind but truthful review, so I still stand by my review and hope to help others avoid this...
Read moreYesterday, City Nails & Spa gave me what I'd say is, frankly, the worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done. I don't say that lightly. The tech used visibly dirty tools, kept coughing, and even wiped her runny nose with her hand multiple times before grabbing mine again without washing or sanitizing. She cut me multiple times, and dug her dirty nails into my nail bed multiple times. I am very concerned about the risk of infection from this experience, and will be keeping a close eye on symptoms.
I got a gel polish, which looked okay, but has small bubbles in it. The way she cut my nails was uneven and rough, as well. I'm going to have to file them myself. Least importantly, but good to note, I wanted to decide on a color and the tech was very rude and kept sighing/looking at the time while I chose. I took less than 2 minutes picking the right color (to match the event I got them done for).
The whole experience was unsanitary and probably dangerous. I am shocked at the quality of...
Read moreSo so SO glad I found this nail salon!! I had been getting my nails done at a place in Florida, while I was out there for the summer, and I was so sad to leave because I’d have to look for another nail salon, so I was trying to find a good place here in Utah. I like getting gel mani&pedis and usually get dip powder french manicures. I tried Glamour Gels because so many people recommended it, but sadly they did a terrible job and caked on the gel and somehow managed to make my nails HURT while they got cured. Super weird. But I found City Nail & Spa and decided to give it a shot and I’m so happy to say it’s a keeper! I will be their customer for as long as they are open. All the staff is so kind and willing to help and make you feel comfortable, besides the fact that they pay close attention to detail and their work is flawless. Plus this salon is huge and so luxurious feeling/looking, so it’s definitely a place I would be happy to bring friends and family to! I highly recommend...
