Miracle Bowl — Attraction in Orem

Waited for a lane for thirty minutes while watching people in line behind us get served. Went up to the counter to ask how much longer, was told "ten or fifteen minutes" and they offered to put us on the list. Then when we complained about having already been on the list for thirty minutes, all we received was a shrug at having been overlooked. Wasn't offered any kind of compensation for the screw up or the time wasted. Pretty miffed that we had to remind the guy that we were already on the list. Lane 7 kept breaking on us, and there was zero hussle from staff to go free it up. Had to tell them multiple times each time. They finally moved us lanes. Ran out of nacho cheese at 9:45 pm and didn't want to make more until we said (somewhat forcefully) that that's what we wanted. Literally would not recommend this place to anyone ever after our experience tonight. Also the drinking fountain has black mold growing on the part where water shoots out. Was told free refills for fountain drinks, went back for refill and different person there threw the cup away and said they...

Hands down best experience at a bowling alley. Our 6.5 year old son passed away after a lifelong battle with medical complexities, disabilities and an ultra rare genetic condition. We held his funeral and the next day had a celebration of life at Miracle Bowl. It was PHENOMENAL. Ryan and his staff were attentive, INCREDIBLY KIND, sensitive and understanding and went above and beyond. We used the entire place, totaling close to a hundred people, and everyone had a blast celebrating Emmett and one of his favorite activities. We had ordered 25 pizzas and close to 30 orders of french fries. The staff worked hard to continually have hot food being served to our friends and family the entire 3 hours we were there and didn’t miss a customer service beat. We were in a hard period of grief and confusion but Ryan and his team gave us a place to celebrate, laugh AND cry, remember and grieve. My husband and I went on a Friday night at 5:30 and we got in without a wait. 2 games and shoes for 2 people was about $31. The employee getting us set up was trying to crack a joke that I "dropped my pocket," and I had a confused look bc I knew it was a joke but didn't know what he wanted me to say. He irritatedly said, "It's a joke," and never gave the punchline. 🙃

After we started bowling I asked a female worker for a 7 lb ball and she gave me one. I had used it for a few frames then the earlier cashier employee walked up to our balls, picked mine up, and started to walk away. I told him I was using it and he asked if I was under 12 years old. "No. The employee behind the counter gave it to me." As I'm making eye contact with the woman, she just proceeded to eat her ice cream and stare at me. "Are you special needs?" "No." And he just walked off and put the ball away.

Besides those rude interactions, it was a fun date night. I actually broke 100 with my 8 lb ball he can keep the 7 lb balls...
