We have been here twice now. First time, excellent experience. Both times the food was good and the staff was nice BUT tonight we had a major issue. WHEN ordering, I told the waitress we had a coupon for buy one entree and two drinks, get one entree free. She saw the actual coupon and told me which of our meals would be free after we had told her what we wanted to order so she knew what was going to be on our bill. IF she had told me that one of the entrees would not qualify for the coupon so we wouldn’t be able to use it, I would have ordered something else. Easy. No problem. Instead, she tells me which meal will be free but when the check comes she tells me we can’t use the coupon because one of the entrees wasn’t eligible. If you see the physical coupon (which was valid and had no exclusions) as someone is ordering and you tell that customer which of the two entrees they ordered will be free, you should be accountable for what you told them and hold yourself to it. It is dishonest to change your mind when it comes time for the customer to pay. We also typically would have just ordered water to drink as our usual. So, we were out the cost of drinks we wouldn’t have ordered if we weren’t using the coupon and didn’t get the meal we should have for free either. I won’t be back because of the dishonesty in how they treated us. I didn’t hide the coupon and spring it on them at the end. I was upfront to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues using it. Too bad they decided to cheat us because I...

I had heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so I went out with my family. It was a Saturday evening and we got sat down right away. I was surprised there weren't very many people there but it was a little early for dinner.

We had a hard time ordering because both people trying to help us didn't understand us very well. Which I do understand can be hard for them but it was also kind of frustrating because my son is almost 14 and didn't want to order a kid's meal but that's what they had him order even though he wanted a regular size meal even though we tried to explain. I felt rushed to order even though I wasn't ready.

The chips were pretty good and the salsa was really great although a little runny. The food came out pretty quick. I was a little disappointed, it was good but not amazing. The cheese in the cheese enchilada was not melted. I did like the sauce on it. Everything tasted pretty good but it definitely could have been a little bit tastier.

Everyone was really nice. But it wasn't my favorite Mexican restaurant experience. Oh, also I didn't like they had a TV playing with really old Mexican music videos and I felt like it was too scandalous for kids and I myself didn't really like it because it was so cheesy and outdated. It would be nice if they just didn't have that at all and just...

Worst place ever!!! I called and placed an order, upon ordering I asked the person taking my call if they could make a special burrito (chile relleno with beans) he checked with someone else and the answer was “yes” as I was heading over I got a call from them and the man on the line was rude he said that there was a confusion with my order (I did not think about my special order) so I said ok as I started telling him what I ordered he cut me off and said “I don’t think you understand, there’s 2 types of things” and proceeded to tell me about 2 different plates I was completely lost and told him that was not my order … he then said “that is your order but the burrito you order can only be green chilly (and started explaining what green chilly is) or you can get a plate of chile relleno” I explained to him that I had asked the person who took my order and he had said they could do it” he chuckled and said “ a chile relleno is a large chile stuffed with cheese and would NEVER be made in to a burrito!” I was pretty upset by then I told him I have had other places make it and that’s why I asked before I placed my order he kept on making me feel like I was from another world I finally told him to cancel my order. Really bad customer service would not spend my money here I wish I could give them...

Came on a Saturday night for dinner and we were seated right away. Our server was excellent, provided great recommendations, and seemed to really appreciate his job. We started with the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were served warm and had a nice seasoning on them. I loved the salsa and the freshness of the onion and cilantro! Our server recommended the Suizas chicken enchiladas and the chimichanga. I ordered the enchiladas and my husband ordered the carne asada chimichanga. The food came out fairly fast! I was definitely impressed with the enchiladas. They were packed full of chicken! The corn tortillas and the sauce went together so well. The green sauce was extremely flavorful-I really enjoyed it. The beans were pretty authentic and tasty. I though they were great. My husband said his chimichanga was the best he’s ever had at a restaurant. The tried it and it was delicious. The meat was tender and very flavorful. Overall, wonderful experience and delicious food. So glad this restaurant is in the valley! It all tasted really fresh and authentic. We enjoyed it very much and can’t wait to go back again soon!

We pulled into the Golden Corral parking lot for our Thanksgiving day meal and there was a line out the door. We proceeded to google restaurants close by that were open and we saw that El Molcajete was. We had never been there, but everyone in the family loves Mexican food, so we decided to give it a try. We are so glad that we did! As soon as you walk in the door, you are greeted visually with a colorful atmosphere. We were promptly seated and given chips and salsa. The chips were warm and the salsa was excellent. Everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their meals. The Fajitas were very flavorful and they were generous with the portions. The Chimichanga was on point. The cheese enchiladas were a nice flavor combination. The torta had soft bread and was full of fresh ingredients. The horchata was the best we have ever had and the margaritas were huge and refreshing. The staff was great and attentive. We have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant and will definitely be back!

Hmmm. The food was good, (delicious, but definitely not exceptional). We left a 15% tip, even though our drinks were never filled, because we're kind. Lunch time and there was one other table occupied in the large dining area. On the door is a very small notice about pricing, which we didn't read because we didn't notice it, nor were we told about it from the waitress. The writing is small. Basically saying if you pay cash you get 3% off the price they charge you. They charge you about $1.50 more per plate than the price on written menu. (If you pay cash they don't have to claim it on Taxes!) Super sneaky dishonest way of doing business. I posted the little price sticker picture. There are so many Mexican restaurants, don't even trouble yourself with this one! The owner or manager whoever it was was extremely rude when I talk to him about it. I have eaten far better Mexican food at many other places. This food was not Authentic Mexican food.
