The store itself is awesome. I find what I need usually stocked and they do have knowledgeable sales associates. I only give 3 stars because their tactics when it comes to preventing theft is extreme. Im not a big spender but there are brands I stand by or something I looked up and want to try. Out of the 10 visits I made last year each visit at least 4 to 7 associates will ask me for help and will ask my son what's in his bag. Then 3 to 5 of the same associates will do it again. I looked around and noticed other women were not getting as much attention. One day I went with my sister and I asked after we left did anyone ask you for help and returned to check on you. She said only 1 girl and the same girl came to check on her. Today I was approached by 5 associates and my son was once again asked what was in his bag. I also notice they will stay near me and watch me. Its very uncomfortable but I just go about my business because I really am shopping and not stealing. So my advice to management is to either cool it with pressuring staff to address customers repetitively or practice more discretion upon survellancing your patrons.
UPDATE: I visited today to see if any of the brands I like were on sale (Dr. Jarts and Sunday Riley had a few so I was thrilled). My visits usually are accompanied with a twinge of anxiety due to feeling like im being profiled each visit. However despite it being a busy day I had 2 associates asked if I needed assistance and then they revisited me since I was in their department and that was it. I appreciated that they noticed that I did not need further assistance and let me be. I did not notice anyone following me and if they did I understand it is part of reducing theft/shrinkage but so long as they act with discretion as I mentioned in my former review. I want to highlight the best part of my visit...LIZ. She is the epitome of great customer service. Regardless of the beginning of a visit, the end will always change the perception of one's trip. She was cheerful and enthusiastic. I usually don't have issues with salespeople reminding me to redeem my points, but there are times they forget and I have to ask. She asked me if I found all I needed, reminded me I have a birthday gift, asked if I wanted to redeem a 100pt reward, presented a coupon to me for my next visit, greeted my son and had a cute conversation, and lastly she did not stop with eye contact nor dropped her bright smile until we fully left the counter to take another guest. LIZ definitely takes pride in her role with the company....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVery rude employees. Iāve worked retail before so I try to not complain. It was closing and they only had 2 people working. I can empathize with that. I work nonstop and am finally going on vacation so I needed my concealer I use the Sephora collection glow stick but couldnāt remember what color because I will be tan. So I waited patiently for the lady who was on the floor in the next aisle she did not even acknowledge me or look my direction to say I will help you shortly etc. which is fine. I guessed which one I thought it was and went to the register as the line was only one person, I asked the lady at the register to just please confirm thatās the right color after she typed my number I. Because itās the same one I use when I go out of town. She took a deep breath sighed and rushed my cell phone number. I waited patiently. She then says itās the right color I grabbed. And asked why I donāt have the app. Iām like oh I didnāt know it could show up on my end I never had the app. Sheās like yea thatās why you supposed to have the app because Iām not supposed to be doing this Iām supposed to be checking people out and proceeds to point to the line that formed behind me. Very rude and off putting. It took 2 secs for her to verify the color that I had anyway⦠if you are overwhelmed and canāt work closing hours maybe you shouldnāt work customer service period⦠not a friendly environment whatsoever. All walks of life come into Sephora for assistance and beauty needs 24/7 it was 6pm you all close at 8. It should have never been a hassle for me to get a color verified. I didnāt need a color match or any thing extraordinary if I wasnāt going out of town I wouldnāt have given this store my money or time. You never know what someone is going through and again, everyone comes here and escapes the realities of what theyāre facing. Whether itās to get lost in the art of makeup, or feminine self care products, Sephora is a place for many of us to find items to celebrate ourselves and unfortunately this store is the opposite of that and I will never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGot mixed feelings about this location. My very 1st time in this store I was looking confused like I needed help. I had to ask for help! The person that I asked was looking around for ppl to assist me but couldn't so she assisted me but with a hesitating. (I didn't let that bother me) She actually knew what she was doing. She to me directly to Fenty & the 1st foundation she pick up was a match. I purchase it and even got free samples. OMW out the store I noticed a workers makeup that was flawless. I asked her about it but she couldn't really talk because she was with a customer. Went home, the Fenty didn't work out. Went back on Monday, a worker requested assistance for me through their headphones. OMW back to the section another customer walked up and I'm assuming she got the assistance that I was supposed to have. Stood there for awhile & waited again. The worker that assisted me was nice and really trying but then eventually stated that she's no familiar with my skin tone. She had me try on 9 different foundations. Then she stated she got 1 more I could try but I can do it myself because she was going to help someone elseš¤ at that point was done with them. I went to return the Fenty and the cashier asked if I found everything ok. I said, "no, actually I didnt" and her reply was, "oh sorry to hear that." Nothing more nothing less! I went to Ulta and had a more inviting...
