This was a celebration dinner for our dear friend's birthday and our experience was very horrible without exaggerating. To start off it took 15 minutes just for our server to even come by and greet us. When our server Steve came over we gave him our drink and appetizer orders but immediately after he walked away I realized I ordered the wrong appetizer. I caught his attention and told him I ordered the wrong one and all he said was "I already put it in and that he can't change it." I talked to another server and they canceled it for me.
It's about 30 minutes from when we placed our drink and appetizer orders and yet we still don't have either. We continue to see Steve bring drinks to his other tables and we don't even have at least water or complimentary bread. We continue to ask other servers who walk past for water, bread, and the drinks/appetizers we placed over 30 minutes ago. We asked a busboy, another server, and our server for some water and no one ever came to bring it. So one of us had to get up and walk to one of the staff members just to get some water. When the drinks and bread came over one of our drinks was watered down as if they had just been sitting at the bar the entire time.
Steve comes over to take our dinner order and then comes back again two more times to ask us what we have. At this point, we are ready to just get up and leave. The food comes out and only 2 out the the 5 of us get our food. He asks the table "How is everything?" and only 2 of us have our food and I have to admit to him that his service has been terrible. I was explaining how everything took forever to come out, how he let our dirty plates pile up, had to ask multiple people for just some water, and overall his nonchalant attitude.
As a response, he says "AS AN ADULT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT BEFORE I COME TO YOUR TABLE AND I HAVE OTHER TABLES TO CATER TO BESIDES YOURS." The entire table is in disbelief that he was talking to us the way he was on top of the already poor service. At that point, we just say go get your manager. Steve never gets his manager and one of us again has to get up and find them ourselves.
The manager Aaron heard everything that we brought to his attention and even told us how our server had gotten into a very "volatile" situation with another table earlier that same day. None of us had even touched our food and we were all ready to go home. The manager Aaron excused our bill because we didn't even eat our food and took our email down because he said "Sounds like we had an awful night" and wanted to send us gift cards. This all happened Saturday, October 21 and today is October 26th and we still never received any email at all from Aaron. Completely disappointed with the entire experience and also how it has...
Read moreThis is my first visit this year and a lot has changed and hoping they read the feedback because this can really make or break an experience. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT! Stop putting the silverware on the bare tables please! This is a big one because before we could sit down they had to remove the silverware that was sitting with their bare hands and didn't provide replacements. Please find cleaning and maintenance for the bathrooms not the hosts. The hosts are accompanying guests and shouldn't have to clean the bathrooms too. The young lady was so sweet but she is handling food as well and the two can cross a serious cross contamination. The idea itself to have a host do bathrooms, tables, food to the table and keep the lines moving is insane! Now to mention the bathroom please build and add the exit door stopper with the option to press down with your foot to exit the bathroom. Otherwise you wash your hands and have to touch the handle because on this visit I had to go find someone for paper towels and once I did I rewashed my hands and another patron just walked out after she washed hers. It defeats the purpose and very unsanitary! The bathrooms were very dirty with overflowing garbage this is why the host shouldn't be in charge when they are running busy lines. We came on a busy Friday night and it took awhile to get our food but our server provided fresh hot bread and butter. It just goes back to the silverware just sitting there some were dirty and dust can get on them just sitting like that not wrapped in the napkin that were folded separately. The food was piping hot and this is where the 4 star come in for food it just lacked flavor for the New Orleans Pasta. I was able to go home and jazz it right up and so bomb adding my own seasoning and flavor to make this dish much better! The kids meal doesn't come with a drink which isn't a deal breaker sometimes the beverage makes a kid more full and they can't finish their food. I've dined at other Cheesecake locations and I know with these adjustments and improvements Orland Park will be at its best again! There should be a specific turn down time for the lights especially dining with kids we could hardly see our food and used the light on our phones. That ambiance might be nice for some not when you want to see what you're eating and make sure it's cooked to your liking and doneness. They have a specialty low calorie menu with several options and great for someone who needs less carbs...
Read moreI give this experience ZERO stars. This is why...I had reservations for me and my daughter last night, 11/12/23 at 8pm at the Orland Park location. We were seated immediately, which was great, but waited for a while for a server. A server finally came over, she wasn't very friendly, but it was fine. We ordered our drinks. 15 minutes later, she came back with a tray of beverages. She sat my daughter's mug of water down on the table and then, sat my strawberry lemonade on the table and reached for a mug of water on her tray to give to me as well. Her entire tray fell on the table and multiple mugs of water and ice, fell onto the table, in my lap and seat and onto the floor. My outfit was soaked!!!! I was freezing, wet and upset, needless to say. The server didn't say anything, she walked off and got napkins, while my daughter and I sat in shock about what had just happened. This angered me more. When she returned, she proceeded to clean the table, knocking more water and ice into my lap and the floor. She handed me some napkins to clean myself and at that time, I told her that the napkins weren't going to help!!!! I'm soaked and cold. My outfit we wet; my pants completely soaked, so it looked like I had gone to the bathroom on myself. She says " Well, I said that I was sorry! I'm going to get a manager." I told her that at that time, she hasn't said anything, she just walked off and got napkins. I was pissed!! The manager comes over and she wasn't any better. She did apologize and offer a free dessert or appetizer, but that was all she could do. She says " Well, at least it wasn't your strawberry lemonade!". At this point, I'm not spending one dime in the restaurant. I was embarrassed ( others witnessed what happened) and I had to walk out of a packed restaurant with wet clothes, into 40 degree weather. I told her that we would just leave. I really don't understand how the staff just seemed non chalant about the situation and only offered a free dessert or appetizer. No thank you. We hadn't even gotten a chance to order food and it was my daughter's first time there. Poor service and saying " at least it wasn't your strawberry lemonade " isn't acceptable and it's not an apology or making things better. I didn't find her joke/comment to be...
