The Orland store itself is beautiful as they all are. The manager and the associates attentive to every customer that walks through the door. My sister and I went into the Orland location yesterday no one greeted us nor assisted us we had to search for floor assistance. We saw this beautiful mirror there was one noticeable imperfection on the side which was the reason it was on clearance. Went in to pick up the mirror and it took forever for the guy to bring it out. He then comes to me and says “it’ll be out shortly I just have to wrap it” I said ok. I waited almost 30 minutes for him to wrap the mirror and when he finish a whole corner was still uncovered with no protective wrap and I asked him to wrap the that corner like he did the other. He did it and although it was improperly done I said ok that’s good I have the covers to cover it and cushion it. We loaded it up and to my surprise when I got home and unwrapped it the end that he wrapped to perfection had a broken piece that was not there at time of purchase he intentionally wrapped that end so that I wouldn’t see it because he knew he had further damaged the item and there was no broken glass in the wrapping. I contacted the store and they informed me that their policy is that they don’t wrap these clearance items. That means he knowingly broke the mirror and wrapped it to cover it up. Please check your items before they load them into your vehicle because this store will take no accountability for the damage their workers do to your items. I’ve never had a problem and any other Value City location and I wouldn’t recommend this location whatsoever! Most Value City stores take pride in there customer service and customer satisfaction experience. Not these guys! Be AWARE!

Ordered a custom fabric plush ottoman to match my sofa. Waited 3 months to get it, got home, took it out of the box, and the top color of the ottoman's cushion was a completely different fabric color than the underside of the cushion and the rest of the ottoman. Like, such a different color that it looked like the top was blue and the rest was gray. This makes the rest of my couch and the rest of the ottoman look dirty. Not to mention there were 3 dark dirt stains on the base. No big deal on the dirt stains though, they were under the cushion and on the underside of the base. Went to the store, showed pictures, and was told they could re-order it for me. Ok, sounds good, except now there's another 4 month wait and I have to transport the original ottoman back and pick up the new one when it arrives. This is not feasible for me as I have a small car and had to acquire help to transport the first. All I wanted was for someone to pick up the poorly made ottoman and to drop off the new one. Seems like a small price to pay for a total wait time of 8 months for an item I ordered, multiple emails and phone calls, and an extra trip to the store. If I'm buying a $500 custom-fabric ottoman, I am expecting it to be made from the same spool of fabric. I settled for a 10% refund to keep the haphazardly-made ottoman since transportation was not going to be an option for me. Overall, very disappointed with Value City. I love my couch, but will not ever be doing business with this company again. Please beware of all of the fine print when buying products. I was basically told that I was lucky to be getting a 10% discount, since they can't guarantee the fabric. If you can't guarantee your own products, why should anyone do business with you?

After 2 years: - This location has the best sales person who actually values their customer. After buying furniture from this place with warranty, I had couple of issues with the recliner. Beata (Sales person at this location) was so kind on listening to the issue I was dealing with from the warranty service. Beata followed up with them on my behalf and was able to setup the replacement of the entire recliners since a replacement parts were not available. I really appreciate the help and follow up I received from the Manager and Beata! Thanks to you guys, I would continue to give business to Value City Furniture in the future, despite of the bitter experiences I had with the Warranty Service company. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 years ago: Dropped by here to checkout furniture for new place, ended up running into Al, one of the best sales person here. AL helped us out throughout the transaction. We were looking to get only a sectional couch from here, but ended up liking their selections of other furniture as well. Thanks you Al and VCF team to make our experience as painless as possible. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is in the market for good furniture for their house.

I visited the Orland Park location to exchange a dining table I had ordered online two days prior. My original order also included a sofa that I wanted to keep, and I simply wanted to exchange the dining table for a different one at a slightly higher price. Since my items had not been delivered yet, I assumed the exchange would be straightforward.

At the entrance, I was greeted by Napoleon and Kelly, who were both friendly. After explaining my request, Napoleon directed me to customer service, but Kelly followed up and offered to assist me herself.

She walked with me to the service desk, where she explained my situation to Beatta. Unfortunately, Beatta’s demeanor was unfriendly and disengaged—she barely made eye contact, spoke in a monotone voice, and acted as if Kelly and I were inconveniencing her. Before Kelly could even finish explaining, Beatta abruptly cut her off and stated that they could not do anything with online orders. She quickly scribbled a customer service number on a Post-it note, handed it to me, and that was that.

I was confused but still willing to repurchase the new table if it meant having both items delivered together. However, Beatta told me I would have to call Customer Service on Monday, cancel my entire order (including the sofa), wait for a refund, and then repurchase the new table directly from their store. Even Kelly seemed puzzled and did her best to help, even checking with the interim store manager, but we got nowhere. The entire process felt unnecessarily complicated, and I left the store completely confused and frustrated.

What happened next only confirmed my disappointment with this location. As I was leaving, I coincidentally received a call from Jeanne at the Calumet City location, who was confirming my original order’s delivery. When I explained my situation, she immediately reassured me that an exchange was possible and couldn’t understand why Orland Park was unable to help.

I drove straight to the Calumet City store, met Jeanne in person, and in just five minutes, she processed my exchange without any issues at all.

Overall, my experience at the Orland Park location was disappointing. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because Kelly was friendly, personable, and genuinely tried to assist me. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service from the rest of the team, especially Beatta, made this a frustrating and unnecessarily...

This location manager woman Madea ( if I spelled correctly) didn’t do her job other than left me loose my 1500$ purchase plus shipping handling costs after I received defected and little damaged sofa. I waited about 4 months of delivery, when I finally spoke with her she annoyed of me have no interest to talk to me, disrespectfully fighting over the phone and I couldn’t even speak as she was whole time speaking over my voice, she was reckless hostile after taken my money and asked me to pay 229$ for delivery of new one plus bring sofa back to her store about 160$ rental van I have to pay in exchange as I picked it up initially but she didn’t even look online to find one for exchange, simply said she don’t have any. Just shipping handling totals 390$ is about same amount as I have options on other 400$ sofas on sale. That’s insane. She refused to honor me anything about whole situation So I decided to stop by other locations to see if I could get any help. Fortunately other store managers and one 800 number representatives gave me little help and I’m hoping on them. I called back to her but she said can’t do anything and saw notice on my account and immediately called other store messing around which I payed couple hrs ago 150$ in other store to satisfy them find one and delivery to my house for exchange, moments after on hold she came back on phone indicating she wants them handle it for me. She doesn’t deserve manager job, she’s disgusting. I clearly repeatedly mentioned to Kelly at the beginning that I don’t want to pay my money for bad product to receive and she told me she will exchange it to take care of customer, we good at that but manager was no no to me, it turned out to be a lie. I would have given zero stars however the sales rep Timothy Makovich was so professional that he saved the company and I gave 1 star because he deserves 5 stars. However, after purchasing my dining room set, everything was so unprofessional and went haywire. First of all, I ordered in the store and they looked into the system to confirm a delivery date based on my location and gave me the nearest date which would have been the following Wednesday. Which was perfect because I had an event on Friday I wanted the table for. The next day, which was a Sunday I received a call confirming my Wednesday delivery date. I took off work and had the time available to be home. However, on Tuesday, I received a call to confirm my THURSDAY delivery. to my surprise, I was informed my delivery date had been changed and I should have been notified however I was NOT. The delivery warehouse rep stated I needed to speak with the store manager. I called the store (Orland Park) and spoke with the supervisor Madai who basically told me I had to “eat it” and there was nothing she could do.. I was not offered anything for the inconvenience; No Discount, no future credit, no coupon, no money back, not even an apology, just the sheer statement of “there’s nothing I can do.” I felt it was very unethical for them to give a delivery date and change it without notifying me. I felt it was unprofessional that they had no preparation for the inconsiderate situation that they had placed me in despite the fact that I had to take off work and was not available the actual day that they wanted to deliver.
