Blain's Farm & Fleet Tires and Auto Service Center - Montgomery, IL — Attraction in Oswego Township

Came in a week ago (5/11) for new tires- one at a time cuz my project truck (83 full-size Bronco) wasn't running! Everyone was super helpful, accommodating, and patient as it kind of became an all-day procedure 😅 I don't remember everyone's names, but I'm pretty sure it was Julio (so sorry if I'm misremembering) who originally helped me pick out the tires, and made sure to tell me about a buy 3 get 1 deal they had. Joel was one of the techs responsible for mounting the new ones, and was super friendly and even showed me how to properly lift a giant 33" tire ahaha. He went above and beyond to lift them into my tiny car, and offered some great advice about other issues my truck is having. There was a couple more super awesome techs who's names I unfortunately didn't get, but they all seemed hyped and excited about helping me out.

Today, I went back for an alignment as recommended since I got the Bronco running and driving. I called ahead, made an appointment, and showed up on time. I believe the tech who helped me today was Junior or Victor (sp?), and the experience could not have been more opposite!! He seemed annoyed from the moment I walked in, irritated with every question, and like my scheduled alignment was a total inconvenience to him.

When checking out, one of the helpful techs actually apologized for his behavior and "for anything I might have overheard him saying" about me and my Bronco. He explained Junior/Victor was having a bad day, and was annoyed cuz aligning my tires could be tricky. I didn't feel confident that he did the work as well as he would have on a newer car, due to his attitude of disgust towards my truck. I made an appointment ahead of time, told them what truck and tires I had, and paid full price just like everyone else, so I don't think it's right to be treated less respectfully or receive inferior service because my truck is old and a project.

I left feeling unsure that my money was well-spent and today's experience really left a bad taste in my mouth. I still give 5 stars because of last week, and Joel was so helpful, professional, and friendly. And the tires look sick, and were a great deal!

EDIT: reducing my review to 2 stars because I didn't hear from anybody about my concerns. Also, they don't know how to handle carbureted vehicles. They let my Bronco idle on their lift for over 30 minutes and when I finally got it back, the temp...

The mechanics there were very straight forward and honest. The prices are fairly reasonable and they are very good at inspecting your vehicle for potential threats. They even tell you how much time you roughly have to repair the issues so at least you have a few paychecks to save up for it piece...

Omg... Thank you Jessica for helping him out really do appreciate it. Give him a great deal on some tires for a Buick. Service was great and everyone was so nice and kind personality an A+ we will be going back there....
