My order was messed up for my sister in law that was recovering from surgery. The message that I typed into my online order saying get well and saying who the flowers were from instead said sorry for the loss of your mom and no signature. My sister in law called them to make sure the person grieving their mother didn’t get the get well message. They did not first call her to apologize and never called or contacted me. When I contacted them, the owner, I presume, said the florist already apologized to my sister in law but they didn’t try to make it right with me or my party. A apology to me only came after I explained how my family who made the purchase felt especially since my sister in law had lost her mother painfully when she was young. They blamed the situation on a new driver but my email confirming the delivery had the wrong message typed in too. Read moreI live in Texas but my family lives in the Oswego, Aurora, Montgomery area so I wanted to send a plant using a local florist. I ordered a sympathy lily in a planter (this is what was pictured) and the recipient received a plant in a basket ( an option on their website but NOT what I chose!) When I called to discuss this with the florist she said they had alot of funerals recently and only had 1 planter left, which was broken, so they used a "similiar" container. I did not know a planter and basket were "similiar" ??? I said if I wanted a basket I would have chosen that option. She said they could have used a ceramic container but that would have cost more. I wasn't called or given that option and she stated they didn't have time to call everyone for substitutes and reiterated the website said "similar" container. When the recipient didn't answer the door, they phoned the recipient and while talking to the recipient assessed that she may be in some distress, especially after she seemingly and suddenly stopped conversing, even though the line was still connected. Concerned for her well-being, the delivery driver contacted her manager who then contacted me to further check on her. When I couldn't get ahold of her either, Floral Expressions phoned emergency services to check up on her. All is well and the recipient is fine and absolutely loves the gift basket. But we're all very thankful that the Floral Expressions staff displayed the care and concern they did and went above and beyond simply making a delivery to take the decisive and immediate action they did.
