In Palm Desert, this shopping center has a little over 100 Stores. However, 8 years ago it had 150 + stores & people were finding out a way to get in the building & lease a space. Westfield changing its name, & COVID is what I personally think has affected the market for store owners at the mall in order to remain with a financial sustainability and for them to have profitability as well. People simply stopped going to the mall. Many stores & companies survived but again how long have they been there? 24+ years, like Sears and JC Penny or Hollister for 10 years , despite them being multimillion dollar companies .. How did Dog on a stick survive the pandemic & McDonald's right next to it didn't ? (Personally I would have rooted more for McDonald's yet again didn't graduate in an economics major either). It all comes down to their rightful owner in the decision making of sustaining through tough times I can only think. 🛍️Food for thought .. while for many disappeared companies because of the inflation & the pandemic let alone why is it still empty two years later & in the making supposedly? 💡 I enjoy getting a shake at Cold Stone here & there after visiting the Local Shops that have survived multiple financial crisis waves throughout the span of 24 years when Westfield first acquired the property, perhaps inclusively before. City Wok is another place I visit when here. 🌬️ A/C is fully functional under the current management team, it might look dead empty 87% of the times but it has clean floors & remodeled ceilings as well as properly maintained restrooms, common areas etc. They have a children's play bin area, parking is substantially efficient there being plenty ⛹🏼‍♂️. A couple arcades in the middle of the walkway to entertain yourself while you finish sipping on your shake 🥤or perhaps finish eating your pretzel from Cinnabon 🥨. ⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars from my perspective, a lot of work left behind & plenty of space that could have been utilized in these 8+ years. Boredom is the kind of mental state that will get you here in the first place. Unless you actually think that purchasing your chonitos (underwear) 👙 at Victoria Secret personally makes a difference when you get even greater discounts online with better prices rather than walking into the store & willingly bend over 😉. Just like going to Shoe Palace for the latest model of Nike Jordans when you can get a better deal online versus walking in the store & yet have the need to bend yourself over & hand off your wallet.. you get the picture 📸. Safe shopping 🛍️😺.

This is NOT the place to stay if you are looking for exceptional servicewas Overall the service was MUCH LESS than average and in many ways did not measure up to the service I'd expect from an inexpensive hotel, let alone a Westin. Starting with check-in, there was a line so an employee not working the desk was asked by one of the hosts working to check us in. She acted inconvenienced and was not at all welcoming, short, and hurried through the process. We had requested a ground floor, king bed room but were given a second floor room. When we told her that my wife had difficulty climbing stairs, she offered a first floor room, without a pool view and twin beds that would be available in 2-3 hours. We elected to take the second floor room but requested a bellman to take the bags to the room. She seemed confused at my request and stated, "I guess I can find someone, but it will take me a while." I ended up carrying my own bags. After we were in our room I went searching for ice. There was not directions on the information in the room, on the posted fire escape map (seems to be a common thing for hotels to do) or posted on the walkway, so I called the front desk. The person who answered could not tell me where the closest ice was and transferred me to another person. They gave me accurate direction, however, when I got there, the ice machine was out of service and from the dust and cob webs had clearly been out of service for some time. I ended up getting ice from the bar at the pool. After a long day of travel, etc. we were looking forward to some time in the pool / hot tub. Unfortunately there were no towels at the pool and no one there who could seem to tell us if more would come. We were headed to our room after the sun went down (maybe an hour later) when the towels showed up. After returning to our room to get ready to go out, we found that there was no soap or shampoo in the shower. When I called to have some delivered I was first told "housekeeping was done for the day." It seemed that I had to convince the person on the phone that we needed it and they sent someone, but it took 20 minutes for them to arrive. Once out of the shower, my wife looked to see if there was a robe for her to wear, there was, but strangely only one. Luckily, I'm not one to wear a robe. I think you can get the picture here. If I were to stay at the local Holiday Inn or Best Western, I would expect better service. I unquestionably expect more from the Westin! After the soap was delivered the front desk called to apologize and offered us a 3 day stay for the price of one night. I didn't have to consider the offer too long to come up with the answer. Why...

Location: Palm Desert, Place Name: The Shops at Palm Desert Santa event and Company VIP HOLIDAY PHOTOS. “I encountered challenges at this job, primarily stemming from a lack of communication among employees. On one occasion, despite informing my colleagues about my restroom break and asking them to communicate this to others, the information wasn't shared, leading to misunderstandings and subsequent trouble.

In another instance, I accidentally spilled barbecue sauce on my shirt. Seeking to rectify the situation promptly, I asked for permission to purchase a replacement. Despite my sincere efforts to find the specified shirt, which proved unsuccessful after visiting two stores, I opted for a plain white tee, akin to what a female colleague was wearing without consequence.

Upon my return to work, I was surprised to find that my supervisor deemed my choice unacceptable, leading to my termination. This decision left me perplexed, especially considering a female employee wore a similar shirt without facing consequences.

Furthermore, it's important to note that there have been ongoing issues with the timeliness of paycheck disbursement. This inconsistency in paying employees on time adds an additional layer of concern.

I believe there's a critical need for improved communication within the team and more consistent enforcement of policies. My commitment to resolving situations professionally was genuine, but I faced obstacles beyond my control, including paycheck delays that further complicated my experience...
