I'm very disappointed with the Flamingo hotel in general. I didn't stay there but there are two main attractions that I walked very far from my hotel to see and it was like finding a needle in a haystack. At the flamingo hotel they have live flamingos in a garden. But you wouldn't know that unless you ask someone KNOWLEDGEABLE because there are no signs for it ANYWHERE. Also the most important thing that apparently is also out by the flamingos is a memorial for Bugsy Siegel (basically the founder of Las Vegas and the casino life as we know it).
But that was even worse to try and find because no one even knew what that was even though there is a restaurant in HIS NAME right across from the flamingo habitat.
Than when I finally found someone who had a brain he personally walked me to where the memorial was SUPPOSED TO be (tucked all the way in the back AGAIN WITH NO SIGNS! , back by a wedding chapel area) than we get there and it's got a locked gate thay closes at 7pm!!!!
What the hell FLAMINGO ?!?!?!? These two very important things and they are beyond IMPOSSIBLE to find ... that is unacceptable and embarrassing that you have to go on a manhunt to find these two simple things.... at least have some signs to lead me where to go if your ENTIRE staff has no idea what the hell I'm...
Read moreI was looking all over for it, asking so many employees who had no clue of it's existence, until finally found an open gateway to the garden chapel where the monument faces the entrance!! I hope these pictures give you an idea of where to find it! Basically once you're at the fountain where the fake flamingoes are at, you'll see the waterfall, and to the right of that, there's the sign next to the steps that take you to the garden chapel, if the gate is locked, you have no access, but once it's open, you can enter and walk on the left and once you see the chapel, turn around and you'll be facing the Benjamin "Bugsy"...
Read moreThe statue itself was less than spectacular; however, my cuñado wanted me to go take a pic by it, which I did, I just didn’t post those two pics. One also needs to take in what is around the statue, what you see/experience walking to the statue, nature and in The Flamingo 🦩 Hotel itself. I had no idea I had to walk through the hotel to go outside again, I would get to see the flamingos 🦩, other birds and meet some cool humans. The coolest of the humans was a couple (boyfriend) who helped me find the actual statue along with a sweet woman who worked at the beautiful gem etc. store (I posted some pics of...
