I recently had the pleasure of visiting a Ghirardelli Chocolate shop, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. Whether you're a long-time fan of their iconic squares or discovering them for the first time, Ghirardelli delivers a chocolate experience thatâs hard to match.
As soon as you walk in, you're welcomed by the rich aroma of premium chocolate, and often, a friendly staff member offering a complimentary sample â a small touch that immediately sets the tone for a warm, welcoming visit.
Ghirardelliâs selection is outstanding. From their signature chocolate squares (Sea Salt Caramel, Dark Chocolate Raspberry, and classic Milk Chocolate are some of my favorites) to their decadent hot fudge sundaes and milkshakes, thereâs truly something for everyone. The quality of their chocolate is top-tier â smooth, rich, and balanced without being overly sweet. You can tell they use high-quality cocoa beans and craft every piece with care.
One of the standout items for me is their Intense Dark Chocolate collection â perfect for those who prefer bold, slightly bitter notes with complex flavor profiles. Their Caramel Squares are also a must-try â the caramel is soft, buttery, and pairs perfectly with the chocolate shell.
Beyond the treats themselves, I appreciated the clean, beautifully organized store, and the team was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. They were happy to help me pick out gift boxes, explain flavors, and even let me try a few options before I made a purchase.
Their chocolates also make great souvenirs and gifts â elegantly packaged and universally loved. And if you canât make it to a physical store, their online store is easy to navigate, with fast shipping and seasonal specials.
In summary, Ghirardelli Chocolates are more than just a sweet treat â theyâre a full sensory experience. The flavor, presentation, and overall customer service make it a brand Iâll continue to return to and...
Read moreI don't understand how this place has as many stars as it does. PLEASE do not go here! I am saving you a TON of money. There are literally hundreds of other places in Vegas that have wayyy better ice cream for the price (including the grocery store.. or your local 7-eleven...).
My wife and I came here based on high recommendation from a friend. We were told to get the brownie sundae - Lands End. But they didn't have brownies.... I guess I should have offered to run to the local Walmart to grab them a box of Ghirardelli brownies... so instead we got the cookie bits sundae.
The ice cream/sundae: I'm not joking - it was completely flavorless. Everything was. From the vanilla and cookies and cream ice cream to the hot fudge and cookie bits. Shockingly flavorless. The "hot fudge" wasn't even hot!?
The service: The person behind the counter was rude and completely unhelpful. When I asked for the the Lands End sundae, they responded like I was out of my mind for even asking for such a wild thing cause obviously I should have known they didn't have brownies! It felt like my wife and I were such a burden on them for even being in the shop.
The price: It was $15.00 people!! I'm telling you, go to McDonald's for their $1 sundae and you'll have a better experience.. at the very least, McDonalds fudge will be hot..
I PROMISE you, don't go here. Go somewhere else. Your taste buds, family, and wallet...
Read moreGhirardelli offer 1 vegan sundae which consists of 3 ingredients. Vanilla Ice cream, chocolate sauce and cream. When I visited they had no cream, it took 10 minutes of arguing that ice cream and sauce didn't equal a sundae. Eventually, they charged for just an ice cream with sauce, which worked out the same price as a non-vegan sundae. Honestly wish I hadn't bothered. The ice cream was full of ice crystals and bland. The chocolate sauce was claggy and didnt taste anywhere near as good as their chocolate. The not-sundae was served in a plastic cup with a spoon that was completely the wrong shape, it was too deep. I grew up on Ghiradelli sundaes on holidays with my family in Disney village, when I wasn't lactose intolerant. (Foolishly) I was expecting glass serving dishes, metal spoons, and the ability to have a banana split with just a swap of the ice cream type. Alas, no. How can Ghiradelli improve.... get out of vegas. I appreciate that here you think you're just catering to passing traffic, and aren't relying on repeat custom; but you've succeeded in succumbing to corporate greed and destroying trust in a brand that used to be filled with fond memories.
Pros: None
Cons: Awful vegan ice cream, Claggy chocolate sauce, Poor quality, disposable...
