This park is beautiful! So much to do now that it got redone. There’s 2 main structures, one for I’d say bigger kids and the other for toddlers and babies. Not enough swings in my opinion, less than 10 total which stinks. I know this park wouldn’t have been able to pass safety regulations without opening but there’s a few spots you need to very closely watch/help your kids depending on their ages. I hope in the summer there will be more seating or maybe parents will be able to “congregate” in smaller groups because having to say “excuse us” at every entrance and the end of every slide was super annoying. Also just a tip ….. maybe actually watch your kids at the park? Rude I know! But when your 6 year old is stepping on my 18 month olds fingers & pushing her away from the slide so he can go down…. Yea not cool. But by all means keep drinking your Starbucks and scrolling Tiktok. My review is based off the way park is set up & just what was to offer. We will definitely be back just not on a...
Read moreLove this park! The park itself has multiple playgrounds, full sized baseball field and basketball court, large grassy areas, lots of covered and uncovered benches and picnic tables, and even waterpark that costs less than $10 per person. If within a short walking distance. If none of that gets your attention, there's no shortage of restaurants, bars and shops allere's even a tunneld under Parker Road for an easy and safe way to eves that shopping cebter. My ONLY complaints are about the parents who let their bigger kids run and play on the playground designated for toddlers. This is just safety common sense. Also the park is relatively clean but the ggrass and surrounding areas always have trash that needs to get picked up. We like to avoid the crowds and sit in the grass next to the basketball court and my 18 month old always finds some trash she doesn't need to be touching. I would love to be able to give O'brien park 5 stars here in the...
Read moreThey have two very large playsets and two smaller ones. The playground substrate is wood chips and the park is generally clean and well kept. There are some covered picnic benches in the middle, a few other picnic tables scattered amongst the large trees and a drinking fountain (on during summer months only). I'm only giving four stars for two reasons: 1) There are only four swings; two regular and two toddler swings. Definitely not enough swings for this size of park so there is usually a wait. 2) No bathrooms! As a mom of a potty training toddler I find this a huge downside. There are some public bathrooms outside the O'Brien water park but the one time I went in there they were FILTHY! There was literally poop everywhere. I keep a travel potty in my car which works for my two year old but is too small for the four and five year old kids who often accompany me. All in all a good park but best for short visits due to lack...
