As a longtime patron of ULTA, I've appreciated their consistent discounts and variety of products. However, my recent encounter with the Parsippany location left me thoroughly disappointed.
This marked my first time opting for in-store pickup at Parsippany, prompted by Dyson's enticing offer for diamond or platinum members. I eagerly ordered the Dyson Corrale flat iron. Unfortunately, upon inspection at home, several glaring issues arose:
The product's box lacked the expected plastic wrapping, raising concerns about its condition. Upon opening, I discovered unsightly fingerprints and grease on the heated plates, suggesting prior use or mishandling. Furthermore, the charging cable was disorganized, adding to the overall dissatisfaction with the purchase.
My disappointment with the Parsippany staff is paramount. Selling an evidently opened and faulty item reflects poorly on their attention to quality and customer satisfaction. Given the inconvenience of the situation, compounded by the fact that I reside far from Parsippany, I had no choice but to seek a replacement at another ULTA location.
Such a disappointing experience tarnishes my perception of ULTA's commitment to delivering quality products and services.

What’s even more disappointing is Ulta’s lack of accountability. When I reported the issue, I expected a replacement, especially given the price point and the fact that the device was clearly defective. Instead, I received no meaningful support.
Ulta could have easily addressed this by replacing the product and recouping the cost from the manufacturer, or at the very least, reconsidered carrying an item that seems to have frequent quality issues, as others have noted in reviews (unfortunately, these reviews were left after I had already made my initial purchase.)

I always hated going into Ulta at the location closer to my house but I came to this location tonight so purchase some hair products & ended up buying makeup as well. The lady that helped me didn't judge me for not having much makeup knowledge. I felt so good and she was really informative. I will keep coming to the location from now on.

Had to go back the next day because I was colored matched incorrectly but that was okay. When I called to tell them about my dilemma, they were super nice and told me to go in and that their MAC specialist would be able to give me a more precise foundation match to my skin color.
