Burlington Arcade,on historical Lake Avenue in Pasadena California, is an architecturally beautiful arched walkway that resonates of vintage shopping arcades from the past. It's a nice side journey off your 'gramable walk on Lake Avenue. There are interesting shops and services throught he arcade such as salons,tailors,barbershop,wine shop espresso,sandwich,ice cream shop and kimono store. Well, there was a time that I would patron Burlington Arcade for a beverage or, more likely, for a couple of their once trendy shops! The Italian purveyor that I would rely on for my pasta necessities or the shop that my grandmother would love to poke around for something out of the ordinary. I picked up a stylish cane for her one year with an ornate grip. Lol, but alas, the pandemic struck and subsequently my diagnosis with stage 2 cancer and subsequently other misfortunes of life. It was good to walk these spaces once again and discover new haunts. I found myself enjoying the new-ish coffee and espresso shop...

In the midst of major retail chains such as Starbucks, Ross and Verizon, there is a small and inviting row of specialty shops on South Lake Boulevard.

If you are not paying attention, you could walk right past it, but the open space, skylights, and architecture are very inviting. Inside this row you will find a tailor, a record store, a hair salon, cosmetics store, housewares, several Japanese themed stores that sell origami, clothing, tea sets and other items, as well as two restaurants.
