AWESOME NAILS — Attraction in Peachtree City

I went to Awesome Nails as a walk-in on a quiet Sunday afternoon and couldn’t be happier with my experience. I originally came in just for a pedicure to help my very neglected feet — it’s been over a decade since they’ve seen real care! I chose the CBD Volcano Pedicure with Hot Stone, Paraffin Wax, and Gel, and it was truly amazing.

The technician took her time, carefully listened to my request not to use the cheese grater and instead softened my feet with callus remover gel before gently using a pumice stone. The treatment included scrubs, masks, an orange slice rubbed into each leg, and a hot paraffin wax wrap from knees to toes — I left feeling like a new person!

I was so impressed, I asked for a manicure too. She recommended the deluxe manicure with paraffin wax and gel polish. My hands were just as neglected as my feet, but she pampered them with the same care — delicious-smelling scrubs, masks, and even an orange slice on each arm. What touched me most was her kindness — after hearing that I haven’t been able to treat myself in over 5 years as a mom to a medically complex child, she surprised me with a gorgeous iridescent “cat’s eye” gel polish, just like the one I admired on her nails, as a gift.

My daughters and I have been coming to Awesome Nails for the last 3 years or so for services ranging from full sets to Awesome pedicures. Sad to say the last appointment we had—we never walk-in because their online booking is so convenient—just before a beach trip, we had to wait for nearly an hour to just start on our pedicures. The staff was apologetic only as we were leaving after paying (and after I thanked them by name), but tbh I thought it was just a blip, an off-day. However, I just made an appointment for a Wednesday at 1:15PM and immediately got a text saying my appointment was cancelled bc that time wasn’t available. You can tell how many appointments are booked in any given time slot on the website, and no one else was booked near or at that time. I will say it’s very difficult to find any salon who cares about your business when you’re mainly booking basic pedicures, which I don’t get because you’re still a regular customer, so why are you not valued? Knowing this is the practice of most salons, I had hoped my daughters’ off-and-on full sets (they’re both athletes and keep nails between seasons) would be enough to keep us treated well at Awesome Nails, but that doesn’t appear to be the case. This was usually my go to spot to get my nails done for months!!! Came in on 8/10/2022 around 3pm. Had a pedi and color change done to my nails. Service was great until I was checking out and the new nail tech, Levi I think that’s what he stated his name is said something inappropriate to me! The shop wasn’t busy at all, I actually was the only one in the shop although they are usually fairly busy. Anyway he asked me to tell “my black women friends to come with me next time since we are so loud and can bring more business in!” Granted I’ve never been to this shop with anybody because I pamper myself on my off days and like to pamper myself by myself like I’ve done for years. My reply was “we aren’t loud and why would you say that” I’m glad the lady in the shop sorta cut him off by saying they are not always that slow and that it was just a slow day! As well as I was charged for a service I didn’t get, I didn’t realize it until I got in the my car and being that the service I didn’t get but paid for was only $5 as well as the fact I was heated at what had been said to me.
