The supermarket itself is clean and well-organized. However, my father did purchase drumsticks and they smelled badly indicating that the meat was decomposing. We returned this to the store because we're not going to take the risk of getting food poisoning and the manager said that it didn't smell bad and that it smelled like chicken when my entire car literally had a terrible smell. My father owned a restaurant before, so we clearly know when food is going bad, but she said, "This just smells like chicken but I'm not going to stand here and argue with you about it." This comment in itself was rude and unwarranted. I don't know what chicken she is eating but good chicken doesn't smell like that. He said you're not listening to me! I thought, who is the customer here? I told him I would gladly pay what is printed on the label but I couldn't even find the label for the product on the shelf. I told him please make your employees match the labels on the rack or change the labels. He continued, you're not listening to me. I paid more for the item because I absolutely needed it for my sick kids. I wish there were other grocery stores, I would stop going to Talpa altogether everywhere just because of this manager. I am a Mexican American so don't think I have anything against Mexican stores or Mexicans or Mexican Americans. I am totally against paying more for incorrectly labeled items AND STORE MANAGEMENT NOT LISTENING TO CUSTOMER...
