Pentwater Village Green — Attraction in Pentwater Township

Hostess was so rude. Because I had kids she tried to seat us on the grass at the back of the restaurant, which was not told to us or advertised.There was a whole row of patio booths open and tables available on the 2nd deck and booths open on 1st level deck. All 6ft apart and every other table available. The hostess (which was not hostess) said she doesn’t have available staff to serve us. Needless to say, we did sit on the patio and the same hostess seated 3 other familes on the patio by us.... but she didn’t have staff to help which was all in 10 mins. Completed disappointed. I live here and I can’t believe this was the customer service available. We also witnessed another family tell the same hostess they did not want to sit where she was seating them as there was all available seats open and they wanted to sit somewhere else not here patio. They moved and no one cleaned the table they sat at originally. Thats the CDC requirement that was missed. If this has happened to 2 families in one day in 10 mins apart, this hostess has experienced this before. This was not because of Covid CDC recommendations or staffing issues, which was told to us after we got our waitress. Each staff member had 2 tables each on the patio. Also the hostess walked people to their table without their mask. I’m so disappointed and I hope this post will help the Village Green work on their customer service as the community...

The Village Green is a great place to relax with snacks from the local eateries. It is home to a weekly farmer's market in the summer months and is the main gathering for many holiday celebrations and other events outside of the winter months. It is also available for weddings and has a gazebo for ceremonies. We have enjoyed 4th of July and the homecoming fireworks from this location, making it a little easier to get out of town quickly to avoid the crowds. I have been coming to Pentwater for 66 years and it never fails to satisfy. Small town feel on Pentwater Lake that feeds into Lake Michigan. Two marinas in town to serve your needs. Charlie’s is my favorite but we have been friends for 60 years. Antler Bar has the best food in town at very fair prices with large portions.
