Pentwater Pizza & Grinders — Restaurant in Pentwater Township

I do not like to be the person to leave a negative review when I haven’t even tried this place, but to help non-locals visiting the area, I think I should. A recent review like this would have helped me save some time. We recently stayed in the area and this place was recommended to us, so their food must be good. However, we tried calling multiple times from multiple phones during their listed business hours with no luck. It would ring and then ultimately do the number not in service tone. Google and Facebook both indicated they should have been open. My husband even drove up there, hoping that maybe the phone was not working and he could order in person and let them know about the phone issue, but they were closed despite all posted hours indicating they should have been open. In the last three weeks I have been there twice. The pizza was great, grinders were okay, and the people working behind the counter were absolutely terrible. The first time that we went there, we were told to come pick up our food in 45 minutes. 45 minutes later we arrived, one of our pizzas was not finished. We then waited an addition hour for them to make the pizza that they missed. Today, we decided to try the place again. The girl working the register was maybe 16 and obviously didn’t want to be there. I watched people come into the restaurant after us and waited by the register for a few minutes and got no acknowledgment from the staff who could see them. Update: went there almost exactly 2 year later. The food wasn't nearly as good. Worse than that, however, is that orders were taking forever to come out. Watching the kitchen, it appeared they were confused by working more than one item per order at the same time. It took 40 minutes for all our food to start to come out...sandwiches...well over 60 minutes for all of it. Members of our party (6 of us) all ate at different times. Others in the restaurant were also waiting a super long time for food and were annoyed. The staff didn't seem to care, they went on one sandwich at a time. We let other parties know so they could...
