Alrayyan Food Market — Attraction in Philadelphia

“All thill no knickers” from philly but come back to visit at least once a year. Ask friends and family where should I go to shop for my 2 week visit. They suggested this place among all the other usual suspects; Wali Muhammad, Mekka and Cousins. But warned at the same time. I thought we’d give it a go and was very disappointed at the rude customer service mainly the lady at the till but the butcher and floor worker were less than inviting as well. Not really interested in patrons at all. The cashier never returned the salaams after greeting her twice and she was very curt and dismissive when we made polite inquiries about products. She clearly didn’t want us in there so we won’t ever return. Shiny and new but lacks common respect and courtesy for those who have been living in the area for decades. I recently ordered food from Al-Rayan Kitchen, and I was extremely disappointed with my experience.

First and foremost, the food arrived cold. It was clear that it had been sitting for a while before being delivered, which completely ruined the meal. When you order takeout, you expect the food to be hot and fresh, but that was not the case here.

Additionally, the service was appalling. When I called to express my concerns about the cold food, I was met with rude and unhelpful responses. It felt like they didn’t care about my experience as a customer at all.

Overall, I was very dissatisfied with both the quality of the food and the treatment I received. I won’t be ordering from Al-Rayan Kitchen again, and I can't recommend...

Bought 3 packs of beef cubes and 1 pack of lamb. 2 packs of the beef cubes were brown, we didn't even notice it until we got home because you can't choose your package its behind the glass in the meat department. Never was like that before. Waste of $30. We live 30 minutes away and was not going to drive back for that. You do realize people can get sick if you sell bad meat, it had a horrible smell. We trusted the workers and didn't pay no attention. Will not be going back, even after someone recommending it to us. If it was anything else, I wouldn't be so upset but its actual meat.
