The quintessential Northeast Philly strip mall experience! A revolving-door of stores peppered with a few mainstays. No shopping carts. No information desk. No public restroom.
Why has this "mall" had such time-tested success? The stores here are particularly awesome! Burlington, Marshall's, Five Below and America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. Not to mention one of the better dollar stores around (it's just a DollarTree, but like, a real real good one).
On the down-side... 1] The dirtiest A.C. Moore with the rudest staff I've ever experienced. 2] I usually LOVE me some Boston Market. This one disappoints me every time. Dry a$$ chicken. 3] Broken-up curbage, rusted out posts, "temporary" fencing in the walkway and a constant empty property (it's Hooters, atm) generally make it feel ghetto.
Most of all, there is a definite Alt-Rock shaped hole here since we lost Tower Records. It feels sterile and generic now. We need a tattoo parlor, a 'Chop Shop' or 'Way Out' type store... SOMETHING. Better food options, too. Making this a mall again. A place you went out of your way to get to, rather than some "Shopping Center" you stop at on the way...
