Terrible visit to store 0241 in Philadelphia.
I recently tried to dine in at the store mentioned above. We arrived and were told a 15 minute wait for 2. That was fine. However after 25 minutes and two parties of two that came after us seated we were finally seated after approaching the host to ask (the restaurant was NOT crowded).
We should have left then. We had a 9 o’clock movie but assumed 2 hours would have been enough time to eat and drink. We were wrong.
At this time it we were seated and for at least 10 minutes no one approached us. Just sitting. By the time our server approached us we ready to order. Things got worse. We ordered 1 alcohol drink, 1 water and one lemonade. We also ordered appetizers of mushrooms and side salad. For entrees we ordered surf and turf sirloin - medium with mashed and broccoli with no bacon. The second entree was ultimate feast with mashed potato’s and asparagus.
The appetizers came before the alcohol drink and lemonade. We never got the water.
The biscuits came. Still no water - we did ask for it again
We ordered another alcohol drink - and asked about the water a third time —— the server responded with are you ready to order your entrees? Well we did that already…..
We were then told the kitchen was backed up - as we watched other people around us whom ordered after us eat their food.
At this point in time our two hours dwindled away…. So we asked the server to bring containers WITH the food so we can pack up what we don’t have a chance to eat….
More time elapsed. We were told they were packing our food up Togo…. ???? Not what we wanted but at this point the evening was ruined. The Togo food came with apologies and low and behold the order was wrong. No mashed potatoes… Brussels sprouts instead of asparagus , shrimp for the surf and turf was not Parmesan. Steak was well done and to add insult EVERYTHING WAS COLD.
I told the server I didn’t want the surf and turf entree and to remove it from bill. I didn’t want it comped (I left it on the table) I didn’t want it at all anymore. My dates decided to try to make the best of his food as takeout . The manager came to speak with us and the first words out of his mouth was soooooo I heard there was a problem with missing mashed potatoes . Ummmmmm excuse me —- huge disconnect but at this point we needed to go. I stated I just want the check and I want to go. The manager brought the check and apologized - I’m not sure what he was even apologizing for… but I still had to wait another TEN MINUTES for the server to bring me the kiosk to check out. I want to state again IT WAS NOT CROWDED.
This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Two hours wasted and we still had to push our movie back to a later show. I’m not sure if the server was new or it was just an off day but from being seated to never being able to eat it set a tone for our entire night that was not a positive one.
I believe my date spoke with another manager who offered a gift card. I could care less about a gift card because I have no desire to eat at this red lobster again. I spent 93.56 for two hours of my life wasted waiting for cold food I could not eat and two glasses of water...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. I have been here twice within the past month and both of these times I had a really terrible experience. I am not one to complain, but this was beyond ridiculous. Service was extremely slow when there wasn't even many guests inside. The restaurant was not even packed. During my second visit, I thought I would have a better experience, but it was even worse. We got there and a waiter leaving for her break did not open the door for us as we were walking in and they were coming out. My friend held the door for her and she proceeded to tell her rudely, "No, I got it" and used the other door. We had to wait 15 minutes to be seated when we were the only ones waiting. When we were seated, our server took 20 minutes to take our order. After our order was placed, it took another 15-20 minutes just to receive our drinks and bread. Another 10 minutes to receive our salads. And then another 20-30 minutes to receive our entrees. I was eating with someone who was pregnant and she had ordered the all you can eat shrimp. We decided to just ask for boxes and her extra plate of shrimp linguini to take to go because we couldn't wait any longer. Our server did not pick up our used dishes or checked in to see if we were okay. There were tables who were sat after we were seated and were able to have their meal and pay before we even received our entrées.
A trip to eat a quick dinner within an hour ended up having us there from 5-8 PM. This was extremely ridiculous. On both occasions we did not leave a tip. Not even an apology from the manager for the poor service. We had to get another waiter to give us boxes and bring up our bill.
I miss how this place was in the past. I used to enjoy eating here with my family growing up years ago, but management has been very terrible after COVID-19, and there are workers there that seem to not care or enjoy their job.
Service is way better at the Oxford Valley location and also in Cherry Hill, NJ. This is definitely my last time I will be eating at the one on the BLVD. I rather take the drive further out to these other locations than step foot here ever again.
Beware of going on a weekday. Just because it is not a Friday or weekend doesn't mean you won't expect...
Read moreMy son, sister and I went there last night 6/8/24 to have dinner a little before 8 PM. Walked in and saw it was pretty empty and no one was at the host area to seat us. Waited about 15 minutes and someone finally came over. Asked us to wait 10 minutes to get our table and was seated. Young lady came over about 15 minutes later asked for our drinks and took our order. My sister and I ordered ice tea with mango flavor and my sisters just tasted like water no flavor at all but appeared to have some type of syrup in it. Mine was tolerable but still didn’t taste like ice tea or mango. We then waited for our food which took over an hour. And was surprised because again the place was pretty empty as far as customers went. Plenty of staff walking around however. Our biscuits came out warm but didn’t come out till about 45 minutes after we placed our food and drinks order. And also wasn’t told what I ordered wasn’t available till 45 minutes later. Which was the larger snow crab legs that cost $5 more than the regular snow crab legs. So we asked if they can just go ahead and bring the regular crab legs. After that we waited another half hour for our food and I had to ask our waitress where it was. When it finally came out another 15 minutes after that. My food was cold the crab legs felt like they just came out of the fridge. My sons was a little warm but only because of the hot potatoes it was sitting on. I asked the young man to take my food back and asked for a manager. She came out to apologize but at that point I was just frustrated and still hungry so I asked for the bill and asked her to just charge for the other two meals. When the check came out I was still being charge for the larger snow crabs the waitress said they didn’t have in the first place. So had to call the manager again to fix that as well. She offered to still serve me a meal at no cost. But at that point I was just disgusted and hungry after almost 2 hours without the proper meal I ordered. Also, the place could have been cleaner. There was a damp carpet smell in the restaurant. Totally disappointed with that Red Lobster located on Roosevelt Blvd in...
