The temple is a haven. Just like the ancient Jews/early Christian church, we have chapels (like Jewish synagogues) for regular weekly worship, and a temple for special, less frequent worship. It is the same in Jesus’s restored church. It is His house. It is wonderful! +Clothing rental +Parking for patrons +Arrival center (not a full fledged visitor center) No cafeteria in temple(very rare these days) Very close to art museum, center city. IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN visiting the temple in summer months: there is a small grassy area on the second floor of the arrival center, perfect for playing games or taking about the temple. Adjacent to the temple is a building called a Welcome Center with pictures and information about temples. It has a second story, with an open area for sitting and offers nice views southward, to look at the temple and the skyline of Philadelphia. Across the street is a conventional meeting house, where one can participate in Sunday services, and which is open to visitors.
For people coming to worship in the temple, there is underground parking, on site. This is free for visitors.
