In December my husband had to have 3 stents placed after a visit to the ER. After the stents were placed we scheduled our follow up visit, the woman scheduled us with Dr. Verma who did his procedure, but have us false information and it was a day he wasn’t in the office. We got there and they offered to schedule us the next day at any time with him. We were there for a total of 2 hours seeing mainly Laguita with about 10 minutes of Verma at the end. I felt Laguita answered most of our questions.
We have tried to contact the office for a call back about symptoms 2 times now because nothing was fully explained or our questions weren’t answered properly, more of a go around and rewording. The first time, they input his phone number wrong, they wouldn’t let me speak to anyone even though he gave them permission to per their paperwork, among other things. We were never given an answer if anything he was experiencing was normal or not after stent placement. He didn’t have any pains and felt fine prior to the stents and has had nothing but issues since.
We are still waiting for a nurse to call us back since 8am this morning on an urgent message since speaking to the on call dr last night. They seem to care more about answering their google reviews then caring about their patients hearts. It’s been nothing but a headache dealing with this office, and I know it’s not just the cardiologist department. I have had the same experience with Banners Urology department. Tonight I will be finding a new cardiologist specialist for my husband and filing a complaint with the proper people needed to fix these issues for future patients. I understand Dr’s have a lot going on but I feel like when it’s a triage nurse that’s returning a phone call it should be done, especially when related to the heart and a person just suffering a heart attack not knowing what to expect, especially when that patient...
Read moreI was taken to the emergency room for what was believed to be a heart issue. I had every symptom of a heart attack. The fire department made me go to the ER because of this. They ran my tests and found that my troponin levels had elevated. They did a CT scan in the ER but didn't see anything. The ER cardiologist was concerned due to my symptoms and wanted me to follow up here within three days for further testing.
I got an appointment with Naser Yamani. The day of the appointment his assistant called and asked if I could come in earlier, which told me he had something going on which required him to be done with my appointment sooner. When I got there the nurse gave me an EKG and was very friendly. Naser however was completely dismissive and rushed my appointment . My entire time with him was exactly 5 minutes during which time he answered his personal cell phone.
He told me that Because of my age and my CT scan there was nothing to worry about. I let him know that the cardiologist at the ER had concerns and that obviously something had happened since my enzyme levels had elevated. He went on to list a number of things it could have been, none of which applied to me including a ruptured breast implant which I found offensive as I have larger breasts. So it seemed to imply he may have thought I had implants. He ended the appointment by saying "sorry, I dont know what happened to you." the whole point of me going here was to find out what happened to me. No additional tests, nothing.
The entire thing was a waste of my time, which I had to take off from work. I could have been told the same thing over the phone....
Read moreI had a c-section at Banner University and ended up in the hospital 3 days after discharge for heart related issues. I was then referred to Banner Heart Institute to see a cardiologist. I saw the doctor April 8 and had an echo test done that day. It has now been 4 weeks and I have called them over 10 times trying to get my test results. I am freshly postpartum and this clinic has caused so much unnecessary stress when I just need to know my test results. I can’t even eat or sleep because I am paranoid that I am going through heart failure and this “doctors office” can’t even let me know if my results came back okay or not. I can’t follow up with my other doctors or my OBGYN because they need to know what the results were from my echo test before they run other tests. Every time I call in, they tell me I am on high priority and someone will call within 24 hours, but then a week goes by and I have to call back and go through the same thing. I was put on high priority call back 3 separate times. I have even called to speak to the director Melissa and was told I would be contacted in 24 hours and it has been 3 days and I haven’t heard anything. Not even a single email or phone call. Please for all cardiology issues, go anywhere but here. If I die and leave my babies without a mother, it’s because banner heart institute failed to get me the...
