I’ve been shopping at this Winn-Dixie for over 22 years, and sadly, I have to say the customer service has never been worse. Our most recent visit was yet another example. We went to check out and our cashier, Lourdes, was already being rude before we even reached her lane. She was slamming items around like she didn’t want to be there and seemed openly frustrated. Unfortunately, this isn’t new — it’s a regular pattern with Lourdes. Every time we come in, she’s either complaining loudly about how she hates her job or talking about how she’s the only cashier who ever shows up. One visit, the line stretched all the way down the freezer aisle and she started yelling that she needed help, all while badmouthing the rest of the staff. Tonight, though, was especially bad. Lourdes was very rude to my husband for wanting to put an item back, rolled her eyes and gave the rudest look as he’s the devil— Didn’t greet us, wouldn’t look at us, and when we tried to make small talk and ask her about item, she didn’t even respond. Just completely dismissive and unprofessional.
To make it worse, the so-called manager was standing right by the door(receipt said Christopher), watching this entire interaction. When I looked at her and said, “Do you see how your employee is being rude to us?” she replied, “Oh, I don’t see anything,” and was just short and waiting to lock the door and close for the night. Although there was a customer behind us.
Honestly, after 22 years of shopping here, it’s disappointing to see how far this store has fallen. They clearly need a whole new staff. And if Lourdes dislikes cashiering this much, maybe it’s time she found another line of work. It’s unfortunate, but at this point I’d rather pay a little extra at another grocery store than continue to deal with such rude...
Read moreUpdate: 11/17/18..So they repaved the parking lot, threw a fresh coat of pain on the building, new sign, inside.. produce still had mold on it, and today.. cockroaches on the shelves. I have a video where my 11 yr. old grand son saw the roach.. and we did a video which I did show to the manager.. My grand son said to me.. "So Nana, this time you are sure you're never coming back to this store, right?".. and i said "yes!!".. A new coat of paint and a repaved parking lot does nothing if you do not improve the produce and supply the shelves and clean clean clean the bugs out!!!!
I recently moved to this area coming from the Seminole area. And I have to say.. this store is a dump. The produce is old and the shelves are bare. It's dirty and i don't find the same friendly service as the one in Seminole. Tonight all i wanted was some brown coffee filters.. That's all.. and since this Winn Dixie is close to me I popped in for some. NOT.. they only have the bleach white ones.. So I thought I'd at least get my cereal.. NOT.. they don't even carry it.. come on.. it's POST Golden Crisp! Ok.. so i need my Dietz & WAtson Zesty Honey Mustard that has to be bought at Winn Dixie.. LOL. joke of the century! Couldn't get that either! I mean what do they carry except the basic.. bread, milk butter and plain mustard, jams etc.. get the picture? So.. don't know if they are going out of business but they have totally lost mine! I will travel down the road to clean and friendly and supplied with things...
Read moreI very rarely shop at this store because I primarily shop in the fresh food departments or frozen food. It always lacks staff and those who are working are not supported by other employees when they need help.
I ran in tonight for breakfast sandwiches to give the kids in the morning and there was one cashier with a very long line and for 20 minutes a young lady sat hanging out with her friends at the front counter and wasn't working at all. The man who was the closing manager came by after 15 minutes or so and told the cashier he couldn't help her because the tills were already down but he could have at least helped her bag groceries. He walked outside where the young lady walked with her friends and when I exited the store he was sitting on an electric cart talking to the girl and her friends and then rolled away leaving her there non-productive. That cashier was receiving the negative comments of being left alone and he didn't even respond or acknowledge the customers or even apologize for the inconvenience. If they're not going to help her then they should be cleaning stocking or doing something but they were just hanging out while she did everything. I live two blocks away and I go to the store maybe once a month when I need just a couple quick items or a pack of meat. This manager needs to do his job a...
