Sly Fox Taphouse — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

We have been obsessed with Sly Fox @ the Highline since it opened a few months ago, but something seems to have changed with food preparation. We had visited at least 10 times before yesterday and never had a complaint - I would crave the chicken wraps at least once a week. But yesterday when we were dining in, the food was practically tasteless, the chicken recipe definitely charged (barely seasoned and not satisfyingly grilled). Every person of our 5 member party was disappointed in the taste of their food. The service was also poor and the wait/bar staff all seemed really tense and stressed. We really really love this place and hope this isn’t the typical “WAS great when it opened”. Beer is still great and the Watermelon Refresher was bomb - but we really couldn’t get over how lackluster the food was in comparison to just over a month ago. Hoping it...

SLY FOX IS GREAT PLACE! As a 26 something year old, this is totally my speed. Kyle Macauley, the GM of the location is seriously the best. He’s in the weeds with his staff, showing face, being personable, and just genuinely a good person. This location is right across from my work, and I’ve been eyeing it up for awhile, and I’m so glad I came! It’s not too loud, it plays great 80’s-90’s music.. and obviously the beer on tap is GREAT! I had beer, food, and experienced the general atmosphere here. All 10/10. I highly recommend coming here. The staff is awesome. Plus free popcorn... FREE POPCORN! We came in for some drinks and had to wait a while in line to order them. Idk if they were short staffed but there was one guy running around delivering orders and taking orders while two people in the back making food. So he would deliver food and come back and take in one order and do that on repeat. He was very nice and we felt bad for him because he was working very hard with a smile but it was getting a bit hard trying to stay patient to order. But otherwise once you order the drinks were great. Haven't tried their food but if they stay busy with the limited staff they have I think my food will be cold by the time...
