10/10/2024 - My second visit to the Jeanne B McCoy Community Center for the Arts was for another New Albany Lecture Series with the invited guest America Ferrera. Truly an entertaining evening with the actress, author, director, and producer. This 16 years old New Albany, OH center provides comfortable seating for 786 guests, a bit stage, good surround sounds, nice lighting, friendly ushers, decent parking to and from the center, and decent prices. Nice modern interior with two large screens for guests that have further and higher seats. The center is also accessible to guests with medical equipment. Clean restrooms.

The stage is big and suited for cultural events. There are two elevated large monitors. Nice lightning and surround sound. The seats are comfortable. Parking spaces nearby. Prices contingent...

All the staff we met were kind and the building itself is beautiful. Plenty of parking in two...

However, there was a glitch during the film showing, and it froze for about 10 minutes. It took a while for anything to be done about it. But, the loss of a star is because the lobby was not very interesting and there wasn't an area with brochures about...
