10/10/2024 - My second visit to the Jeanne B McCoy Community Center for the Arts was for another New Albany Lecture Series with the invited guest America Ferrera. Truly an entertaining evening with the actress, author, director, and producer. This 16 years old New Albany, OH center provides comfortable seating for 786 guests, a bit stage, good surround sounds, nice lighting, friendly ushers, decent parking to and from the center, and decent prices. Nice modern interior with two large screens for guests that have further and higher seats. The center is also accessible to guests with medical equipment. Clean restrooms.

02/06/24 was my first time visiting the Jeanne B McCoy Community Center for the Arts. The event was The New Albany Lecture Series with the invited guest Misty Copeland who is my favorite ballet dancer. The 786 seat venue is nicely structured and provides a nice view of the stage. The stage is big and suited for cultural events. There are two elevated large monitors. Nice lightning and surround sound. The seats are comfortable. Parking spaces nearby. Prices contingent...

We attended the sensory friendly symphony series first concert for the 25-26 season at the McCoy. WOW!!!! I was so so impressed. It was both relaxing for me and enjoyable for my daughter. The orchestra did a beautiful job and I got to enjoy the show without worrying about the occasional squeal or non-indoor-voice exclamation. My daughter could wiggle and move without being shushed or asked to sit unnaturally still. It was absolutely a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to the next show in the series. All the staff we met were kind and the building itself is beautiful. Plenty of parking in two...

I saw a film here on a big screen. The seating was comfortable, not too many stairs. The bathroom had a lot of stalls and sinks to accommodate large crowds. However, there was a glitch during the film showing, and it froze for about 10 minutes. It took a while for anything to be done about it. But, the loss of a star is because the lobby was not very interesting and there wasn't an area with brochures about...

Sensory friendly symphony is amazing! The entire staff is so helpful and welcoming. They TRULY WANT everyone to relax and enjoy the show, HOWEVER that can happen for you! I actually liked it more with the noise and movement! And kudos to the musicians for being able to not miss a beat regardless of what sounds or movements are happening around them. Makes me think of the symphony on the Titanic! THANK YOU!!!
