I’ve always had a great experience with this place until today. I had an appointment scheduled to have gel removal on my fingernails and toes with a gel mani and pedi. Well, I decided the day of my appointment to get only gel removal and not have gel put back on my fingers and toes. So, as the nail tech is doing my gel mani, she doesn’t say a word to me that I would still be charged for all those services I wasn’t getting now. She just made conversation about her cats and her life. Then, I wait around after and they eventually get me in to have the gel removed on my toes. This was a different nail tech who took the gel off my toes. NEITHER nail tech said a WORD about being charged for the services I decided not to get. It wasn’t until I get to the check-out counter that the nail tech who took the gel off my toes, tells me that I was still going to be charged for ALL services I booked even though all I got was gel removal. They charged me $137 to have gel taken off my fingers and toes and said it was their cancellation policy. I would’ve absolutely just gotten all the services I had scheduled done if one of the nail techs would’ve told me I was still going to be charged full price regardless of what I got. And then one of the nail techs (the girl who took the gel off my fingernails) lied and said she warned me that I was going to be charged regardless. Don’t you think I would’ve just agreed to get the services done if she would’ve told me this? The manager came and spoke with me about the issue and cited their ‘cancellation policy’ as the reason to charge me for services I didn’t end up getting. NOWHERE in their cancellation policy does it say you will be charged 100% for services if you modify your services or decide not to get a scheduled service during your appointment. I’ll never go back to the W Nail Bar as they clearly have ZERO integrity or respect for their customers....
Read moreDecent service and no complaints about quality, but I do feel it’s over priced compared to other places I’ve been. However, both times I’ve been to W now, they’ve cut my nails down way too short. I asked for them to be evened up, but they cut my shortest ones even shorter - the first time they were short enough to cause pain when she was shaping them because so much of my finger was out past the nail.
Also, I feel like I was dismissed a little quickly this second time - the services I booked were scheduled from 6:30-8:15 pm and included a basic pedicure and a basic gel manicure (no removal). I asked if she would have time to do some simple nail art (negative space, no intricate additions or designs), to which she said no, she didn’t have time. That’s totally understandable since I didn’t include it in my services when booking the appointment. However, I was back in my car at 7:40 pm, 35 minutes before my appointment was originally supposed to end. I’m not sure if it was because I was her last appointment of the day and she wanted to get out of there, but I feel like there was more than enough time to do the additional art, or my other services were rushed.
I’ve only been here on the occasions when my regular salon is booked up, and I’ll probably continue using them for my back-up when necessary because they are conveniently located and usually have some last-minute (less than a week out) availability. Maybe I just haven’t found a...

A few hours after a pedicure at the W Nail Bar, my toe was angry red, swollen and painful. It became so painful that I had to go to urgent care. They diagnosed an infection and prescribed antibiotics.
I was in extreme pain for a week, and had to keep my foot elevated and bandaged. My annual family vacation to the lake was ruined. I could not go in the water due to the infection, or even stand for very long because of the extreme pain and swelling.
I would NEVER GO BACK to this place. After decades of manicures and pedicures, I have never had a problem anywhere else.

the W nail bar has NEVER CONTACTED ME! *
The nail of the infected toe turned yellow and will likely fall off. Another doctor’s appointment scheduled. I am wary of wearing closed shoes, anything touching the nail is painful.
Four months later, what was left of my toenail was removed by a podiatrist. The doctor advised it may take a year to grow back, and the new nail may never be the same - My toe is sore and...
