Gordon Food Service Store — Attraction in Pleasant Hills

They are really good with customer service phone, i always call b4 i go to be sure they have my 1/2 rib eye steak,(never knew the exact weight)1 time they held 1 for me bcos there were few. I can slice this in to about 15-20 steaks defending desired thickness of cut. my family loves when we grill this cut..The quality is "A1".. inexpensive $75-80, cannot beat that. My point, i but this cut in bulk but cannot always afford the whole rack for $150, i can afford GFS without sacrificing quality...

i fry alot of wings (i rarely eat anything other than wings n fries)..Their oil, seasoning, containers, flour condiments. Oh sugarless goodies and coffee, splenda that i send to My Mother in law in Mexico every year, always priced to ball out for her!

Gfs is the place to shop for all your needs, vegetables when we do our steak we always..do salad, fresh everything except, i dont think they be having avocado,i dont remember hmmm! or maybe im just stuck on( i wont say store name) avocado...

Checking out is always a breeze and every associate i can tell love when they were referrd to by name! Really cool, knowledge...

I had never gotten the opportunity to go to a Gordon Food Service Store!! I was very excited! I didn’t expect what I saw, but I am interested in going back to look again. The store holds large packages of food and cakes and cheeses and meats and some cooking and serving equipment and tools. The spatulas were very nice. I like the heavy duty tools like that. I might come back and buy one. I stared at it for a while. There were large #10 cans of many foods, even cheese sauce in a can. That was amazing. The prices on some things were not as good as expected, but I understand that things are going up in price and still need to be stocked. The store was well-stocked. I wish I had a chance to look around a bit longer. A family member got too hungry while looking at the merchandise, so we needed to leave to get food… 🙄 I guess that’s a hats off to your store. I was shopping for a church festival with my friends, and the staff at this GFS could not have been better. They helped us find cases of different meats, the looked up products, and they were generally wonderful to work with.

The manager Anthony was friendly, responsive, and knows his store. He was training another man (sorry my dude, I am horrible with names). He told me that he was new, but I wouldn't have known it by his service. Tiara (sorry if I spelled it wrong) at the register was fast, friendly and efficient. Even the man sweeping the floors was friendly and said "thank you" when I moved out of his way.

The most amazing part was that we left less than 15 minutes before closing but we weren't rushed in anyway or made to feel that we were a burden. Great manager, great employees, good products. I had never been in GFS before today, and I definitely plan to go back to...
