Needed a break and went for a walk along the jetty on Sunday. It's early-ish in the season, so the public launch wasn't a complete zoo, but it was definitely busy. It can get hot and windy on the jetty, so make sure you are ready for the weather. On this day it was breezy, sunny, and a comfortable temperature. It's a long walk to the end - took me about 25 minutes to get to the end.
There's a lot of graffiti on the rocks, but it's almost all entertaining and fun. A weird amount of 'financial scam' stuff - this one (saying 'STONKS' is an internet meme reference to bad financial decisions).
There's enough room on the jetty for people to pass, and there's a cable on one side to hold onto if you need it. The top of the jetty is relatively flat, fairly easy to walk on, though anyone with mobility issues may find it challenging...
Read moreCame here last week. This is a beautiful place to relax. There are tables & chairs outside where you can sit and enjoy the view. You can walk along the rocky area all the way to the sea I think it was about 2 km roundtrip. At first, there was a fishy or salty smell, which I believe came from the seaweed in the water. I liked it tho coz it reminded me of home. Many people are fishing there. Plenty of seafood restaurants nearby. There are also some shops & small boutiques to explore. Read moreVery beautiful views of the water and the city. The walk is long and very uneven. Wear comfortable nonslip shoes or sneakers. The path is big enough for two people to pass each other but with the uneven ground do exercise caution and manners. Fishing and crabbing are allowed. There is a metered parking lot. Animals are allowed and great walk for kids but again exercise caution as there are no rails or lifeguards...
