Went to Lobster Hut for lunch after going whale watching, and after a few long hours on the water they definitely didn't disappoint on food quality, portion size, and price! The Fried Fisherman's Platter for 2 was definitely portioned with more than enough food for my wife and I. Everything in the platter was fried to golden goodness and tasted amazing; the clams, scallops, fish, shrimps, cold slaw, fries and potato salad were scrumptious! The lobsters were boiled to perfection and the meat inside was nice and tender. You could definitely taste how fresh it was! Considering all the lobster cages I saw fisherman driving around the parking lot with I assume everything came in daily for all the restaurants in the area. The venue was placed right on the edge of the water with a really nice view. They had indoor, outdoor under shade, and outdoor directly on the boardwalk seating. Ordering and picking up food was super fast and everything was priced fairly in my opinion considering the portions you get. I really enjoyed eating here, and would definitely recommend stopping by for some really...
Read moreI absolutely love the food here❣️ It’s consistently delicious. My favorites are fried oysters (their seafood batter is light and crispy but, not too crispy) , fried scallops, broiled scallops with breadcrumbs, lobster rolls, onion rings (thin, the best), and splitting their seafood platters with a friend/family member. I also LOVE their lobster bisque❣️The best I have found near and far. There’s actual large pieces of lobster in it. The bisque doesn’t burn my throat from seasonings, like other restaurants, thankfully. It’s cafeteria styled, so you place your order at one counter, pickup at next counter, find a seat (unless you’re with someone who can get a seat for you), and feast on your delicious meal. It’s busier in summers with tourists visiting. There’s indoor and outdoor seating if you prefer and nice views of the harbor, lots of boats, a long jetty that is accessible nearby for pedestrians to walk. I have come here for at least 50 years and will continue to as long as I’m able and the food stays this...
Read moreThis quaint unpretentious spot on the Plymouth harbor has hands-down the best seafood at the best prices. It's a canteen like atmosphere where you place your order at the counter, and wait either indoors (feels like a diner) or outside overlooking the harbor. That's where we sat. We ordered a huge amount of food, unaware of the gigantic portions. I had the clam strips as I was dying for them, hadn't eaten those in more than 4 years, and they were yum-licious. Usually when you get clam strips they are more doughy than clammy. These all were filled with actual cut up clams. Their tartar sauce was excellent, not too much mayonaisse or relish, and just enough zest. We had jumbo shrimp cocktail and frankly, there is no comparison at all to gulf shrimp. These cold water shrimp are a 10 compared to the southern version which I give a 3. We also indulged in the crab cake. Again chock filled with crab, not stuffing or filler or breadcrumbs. LOVE this place and will...
