Gaff's Quality Meat — Attraction in Port Orange

Best meat market in Florida. A bit hard to find so check your Google Maps before you go. Be prepared to buy more things than on your list because they have a ton of unique foods. Love the sashimi grade Tuna and Salmon, stuffed Jalapenos but hot and mild. Check out the Old Mule Dipping sauce both hot and mild. WE LOVE THE SHRIMP WITH COCKTAIL SAUCE ALL READY TO EAT, 15 PIECES WITH SAUCE ONLY $7.99 BETTER THAN ANY RESTURANT APP. All sausages and brats are homemade on site. Ask the butcher about meats and be prepared to be educated. If you do not know the difference between a filet and a filet steak, this is the place to learn that and so much more. I love to go here but she warms me not to come home with so much stuff NOT on her list, but I am like the kid sent to sell the cow who comes homes with beans!!! There is just so much great stuff to get that I have never seen anywhere else. If you have to cook at home, this is the place to get the stuff to cook with. Love it. Check out all of our reviews. First timer yesterday. I didn’t realize there’s a number system and proceeded to the seafood section and the lady chose 3 crab cakes from the display case. Next, I went to the meat section and a lady asked what number I had. I told her I didn’t have one and she proceeded to grab my filet (younger blonde haired lady) and other steaks I picked out. There were maybe 4-5 customers in the whole store at this time. I continued to grab some vegetables and salads and walked back around my the meat counter after getting my items and noticed stuffed pork chops. I asked another attendant if I could have a couple stuffed pork chops and she asked what my number was. I told her I didn’t have one and she said no number no service. There was NO ONE at the counter! I wanted SO bad to return the rest of the food in my cart that I received w/out a number but wife said to just check out and leave. While checking out the young girl at the register had a similar crappy attitude while making text on her phone. First and LAST visit! I’m sure the lady who refused to wait on me was NOT the owner. This place is phenomenal. The staff is super nice, and the prices are reasonable. I'd say that the difference in quality compared to a local grocer vastly outweighs the difference in price.

I've been many times, and today I saw some wonderful looking tuna that would make a lovely tuna sashimi appetizer for the fam. On inspection I saw that they referred to it as "sushi quality," a distinct difference from referring to it as sushi-grade, which is a marketing term with no actual FDA basis. That feels like yet another marker of a quality establishment---they're stating that they believe it's of sushi quality, and they're not giving in to popularized marketing terms.

The steaks and other meats are always top-notch. The processed meats are great, they even stock some of the best quality hot dogs. They have a decent grocery section full of quality products to round out recipes you may be using for their meats. Their preparer foods are also awesome and reasonable. Twice-baked potatoes, various stuffed mushrooms, and much much more.
